Abstract

　エアバッグを円滑に展開させこと。また、膨張前のエアバッグとの接触による乗員への衝撃を緩和することを課題とする。 　本発明は、車両内の側部にてカーテン状に膨張展開し、当該車両内の乗員を保護するエアバッグ装置であり、膨張ガスを発生するガス発生器と；前記ガス発生器から供給されるガスによって膨張展開するエアバッグとを備える。前記エアバッグは、展開状態で上端の前端部から後端部まで連通する主ガス流路を有する。前記エアバッグは、収容時にロール状に巻き取られ略棒状のロール体を形成し、該ロール体の少なくとも一端が折り曲げ部から折り返される。収容時の前記エアバッグの主ガス流路が車両内側に位置するように、当該エアバッグを前記車両に対して取り付けられる。
