Definitions
- the invention relates to a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle, with a seat part, a backrest and an integrated child seat, which is adjustable by moving seat components from a normal position of use into a child seat position such that the child is arranged contrary to the usual sitting direction in the child seat.
- a generic vehicle seat is known from the document DE 24 54 573 A1. It consists of a seat part and a backrest which is adjustably connected to this angle and which is equipped on the rear side with a recess for receiving an integrated child seat which can be swung out to the rear.
- the child seat forming components are permanently connected to the vehicle seat, do not interfere in the normal position of use of the vehicle seat and can be folded out if necessary from its upright backrest.
- the child is aligned in this known vehicle seat against the direction of travel and the usual sitting direction of an adult seat occupant in the child seat.
- the arrangement of infants against the direction of travel is considered advantageous in view of a possible frontal impact of the vehicle. In the known embodiment, however, it is not excluded that the child is injured in an accident by lying on a behind-seat seat or by a passenger sitting there.
- German Patent Application DE 43 38 695 A1 Another vehicle seat of the type mentioned is disclosed in German Patent Application DE 43 38 695 A1. Again, the child seat is swung out of the back of the backrest of a passenger seat so that the child sits opposite to the direction of travel in the child seat. The backrest is hereby pivoted from its upright position of use by an angle of about 45 ° forward and locked, so that the child is at the level of the driver. Incidentally, however, this training has the same disadvantages as the child seat described above.
- the invention has for its object to provide a vehicle seat with integrated child seat that connects a high level of security with great utility.
- the object is achieved in a generic vehicle seat characterized in that the child seat with upright backrest structure of the the seat occupant in the normal position of use facing surface side of the vehicle seat can be pointed out.
- the support structure of the backrest which is in the normal position of use, thus shields the child from load or rear seat occupants accelerated in the direction of travel.
- At least one upholstered part of the backrest is pivotable from the normal position of use forward into a first child-seat position.
- the cushion part in the first child seat position form the back of the child seat, wherein the child rests against that surface side of the cushion part, which is arranged opposite the seat occupant in the normal use position facing surface side of the cushion part opposite.
- At least one padding part of the seat part can be pivoted upwardly from the normal position of use into a first child seat position.
- Such an integrated child seat is preferable to use for the transportation of infants.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that at least one cushion part of the seat part from the normal position of use upwards in a second child seat position is displaced, in which the child is arranged in the usual sitting direction in the child seat.
- the integrated child seat is then suitable for accommodating children who have outgrown the first child seat position, but still have no body size for which the vehicle seat provides optimal protection in its normal position of use.
- the cushion part may form the seat part of the child seat in the first or second child seat position, wherein the child rests against that surface side of the cushion part which faces the surface side of the cushion part facing the seat occupant in the normal position of use - A -
- the cushion part in the first or second child seat position forms the seat part of the child seat, wherein the child rests against that surface side of the cushion part, which faces the seat occupant in the normal position of use.
- lateral support elements are preferably displaceable out of the upholstery parts, at least in the first child seat position, in particular withdrawable or swivelable out about a horizontal axis of rotation extending transversely to the seat direction.
- the vehicle seat is equipped with means by which an airbag shutdown can be brought about when setting the first child seat position.
- a passenger seat and the deactivatable airbag is arranged in the cockpit. This in the transport of children in the passenger seat opposite to the direction of travel usual manual shutdown of the passenger airbag can be omitted or is only make with the alternative attachment removable child seats.

- Fig. 1a in normal position of use vehicle seat 1 is used in the embodiment of the carriage of a passenger, so it is located in the first row of seats of the vehicle next to the driver's seat.
- the invention is not limited to this specific application.
- the vehicle seat 1 consists of a backrest 2, which is connected to a seat part 3 to adjust to the comfort needs of the seat occupant tilt adjustable.
- the backrest 2 comprises a load-bearing backrest structure 4, which is usually made of metal, and a cushion part 5 arranged thereon. In certain installation situations, the backrest structure 4 can also be formed directly by the vehicle body.
- the seat part 3 is next to a not shown Support structure of a first, over the entire length of the seat part 3 extending cushion part 6 and another, located in a front recess of the first cushion part 6 second cushion part 7.
- the cushion parts 5 to 7 together form the surface side 8 of the vehicle seat 1, which the body an adult seat occupant in the usual seating direction is supported.
- the vehicle seat 1 can be adjusted to a first child seat position in which it is used to carry infants (groups 0 and 0+, Fig. 1b) or, in a somewhat less inclined position, infants (group I and II, Fig. 1c) is suitable.
- the upholstery part 5 of the backrest 2 is pivoted forward about a horizontal axis of rotation extending transversely to the sitting direction (arrow A).
- the back 9 of the upholstery part 5 is supported as a back part 10, the back of the transported child. It is understood that not necessarily the entire cushion support the backrest 2, but optionally only a part body is moved in the manner described.
- the front cushion part 7 is displaced upward in the direction of the arrow B against the sitting direction and forms the seat part 11 of the child seat, wherein the child continues to bear against that surface which forms the surface side 8.
- the seat part 11 of the child seat is inclined relative to the cushion part 6 upwards and forms with the back part 10 of the child seat about a right angle.
- the vehicle seat 1 offers the possibility, when the backrest 2 is in the normal position of use, only to displace the upholstery part 7 upwards against the sitting direction and to set it down on the upholstery part 6 of the sitting part 3 (arrow C). Subsequently, the vehicle seat forms a second child seat position (FIG. 1 d), in which the transported child is the child usually sitting in the -X direction of the vehicle occupies.
- a rotational displacement of the upholstery part 7 can also be provided for setting the first child seat position (arrow B ', FIG. 2 a) and / or the second child seat position (arrow C in FIG. 2 b).
- the transported child is supported in this case on the back 12 of the upholstery part 7.
- the cushion part 5 detachable from the backrest structure 4 can, as shown in FIG. 3, consist of a blow-molded plastic tub 13 which is provided with an outer foam padding 14 and a detachable and washable inner padding 15.
- the inner pad 15 is releasably attached to the tub 13 via Velcro, clips, buttons, zippers or the like.
- the tray can serve as a spring back in normal position of use with appropriate elastically deformable training as a spring.
- a toggle-type lever arrangement 16 connecting the backrest structure 4 to the upholstery part 5 can serve with two jointed arms 17, 17 'whose joints 18 , 18 ', 18 "can be locked in the respective functional positions.
- the upholstery part 5 may be articulated on the seat part 3 via a cranked articulated arm 19, whose joints 20, 20 'are also lockable (FIG. 5).
