Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle seat (1), in particular, for a motor vehicle, comprising a seat part (3), a backrest (2) and an integrated child seat, which by displacing seat components from a normal use position into a first child seat position may be adjusted such that the child is arranged in the child seat facing the opposite direction to the usual seat direction. According to the invention, with an upright backrest structure (4) the child seat is produced from the flat side (8) of the vehicle seat (1) facing the seat occupant in the normal use position.

The invention relates to a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle, with a seat part, a backrest and an integrated child seat, which is adjustable by moving seat components from a normal position of use into a child seat position such that the child is arranged contrary to the usual sitting direction in the child seat.

State of the art

A generic vehicle seat is known from the document DE 24 54 573 A1. It consists of a seat part and a backrest which is adjustably connected to this angle and which is equipped on the rear side with a recess for receiving an integrated child seat which can be swung out to the rear. The child seat forming components are permanently connected to the vehicle seat, do not interfere in the normal position of use of the vehicle seat and can be folded out if necessary from its upright backrest. The child is aligned in this known vehicle seat against the direction of travel and the usual sitting direction of an adult seat occupant in the child seat. The arrangement of infants against the direction of travel is considered advantageous in view of a possible frontal impact of the vehicle. In the known embodiment, however, it is not excluded that the child is injured in an accident by lying on a behind-seat seat or by a passenger sitting there.

Another vehicle seat of the type mentioned is disclosed in German Patent Application DE 43 38 695 A1. Again, the child seat is swung out of the back of the backrest of a passenger seat so that the child sits opposite to the direction of travel in the child seat. The backrest is hereby pivoted from its upright position of use by an angle of about 45 ° forward and locked, so that the child is at the level of the driver. Incidentally, however, this training has the same disadvantages as the child seat described above.

Further generic vehicle seats with integrated child seats are also known from the publications DE 197 41 370 C1, DE 103 09 683 A1 and DE 103 09 684 A1.
