[0002] グリース等の潤滑剤は、 自動車、建設機械、産業機械、工作機械等の各種機械お よびそれらを構成する各種部品の潤滑に広く使用されている。また、これらの機械の 使用個所によっては水が侵入してくる可能性があり、防鲭性に対する要求は益々強 くなつてきている。さらに、高速化、小型化、高性能化、軽量ィ匕などに伴い、これら周 辺機器の使用温度は益々上昇する傾向にあるため、熱履歴を受けた後の防鲭性も 求められることになる。
[0003] これ迄、防鲭性改善のためにいくつかの添加剤が検討されている。シリコーン油系 またはふつ素油系潤滑油を基油とするダリース組成物にマグネシウム化合物および 気化性防鲭剤を必須成分とする防鲭剤を配合した転力^軸受用グリース組成物が提 案されており、気化性防鲭剤としてはべンゾトリァゾール、メチルベンゾトリアゾール等 のトリァゾール系化合物ゃジシクロへキシルアンモニゥムナイトライトが好ましいとされ ている。

[0006] 本出願人は先に、パーフルォロポリエーテル基油に増稠剤としての脂肪族ジカル ボン酸金属塩を添加した潤滑グリース組成物を提案しており、この組成物中にはさら に粉末状のフッ素樹脂を添加してもよいとされていて、相手材に対する耐摩耗性、耐 漏洩性、洗浄性などの改善が達成されるとしてレ、る。

[0007] この潤滑グリース組成物において、増稠剤として用いられる脂肪族ジカルボン酸金 属塩の添加割合は、組成物中約 1〜50重量%、好ましくは 3〜35重量%とされており 、これらの増稠剤とパーフルォロポリエーテル油との 2成分よりなる潤滑グリース組成 物についての実施例 1〜14においても、このような好ましい添加割合の増稠剤が用い られている。
[0008] 一方、さらに添加し得る成分である粉末状のフッ素樹脂については、その添加割合 は糸且成物中約 50重量%以下、好ましくは約 3〜35重量%であるとされている力 これ ら 3成分よりなる潤滑グリース組成物についての実施例 15〜17では、粉末状のフッ素 樹脂の添加割合が 5重量%に対し、増稠剤である脂肪族ジカルボン酸金属塩の添加 割合が 15〜25重量%となっており、このような結果からも分るように、増稠剤としての 脂肪族ジカルボン酸金属塩の添加割合を増すと、粉末状フッ素樹脂の添加割合を 高めることができなくなってしまう。
発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0009] 本発明の目的は、増稠剤として適当な添加割合で粉末状フッ素樹脂をフッ素油に 添加した潤滑剤組成物であって、防鲭性にすぐれかつ熱履歴を受けた後の防鲭性 も良好なものを提供することにある。
課題を解決するための手段
[0010] かかる本発明の目的は、フッ素油、粉末状フッ素樹脂増稠剤および防鲭性添加剤 としての芳香族スルホン酸または飽和脂肪族ジカルボン酸の Ca塩または Na塩を含有 してなり、これらの合計量中増稠剤が 10〜40重量%を、また添加剤が 0.3〜10重量%
を占め、残りがフッ素油で構成される潤滑剤組成物によって達成される。フッ素油とし ては、一般にパーフルォロポリエーテル油が用いられる。
発明の効果
[0011] 本発明に係る潤滑剤組成物は、防鲭性にすぐれかつ熱履歴を受けた後の防鲭性 も良好なので、特に屋外で使用される機械や部品の潤滑に広く使用することができる 。具体的には、例えば自動車の電動ファンモータ、燃料噴射装置、オノレタネータ等で 代表される自動車用補機であって、防鲭性、耐熱性、低温特性、耐荷重性などが要 求される軸受の潤滑などに有効に使用される。この他、転がり軸受、すべり軸受、焼 結軸受、ギヤ、バルブ、コック、オイルシール、ロール、電気接点等の摺動部など、固 体間接触部の潤滑目的にも使用可能である。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0012] 基油として用いられるフッ素油としては、一般にパーフルォロポリエーテル油が用い られる。力、かるパーフルォロポリエーテルとしては、一般式

で表わされるものが用いられる。具体的には、例えば下記一般式 (1)〜(3)で表わされ るようなものが用いられ、この他一般式 (4)で表わされるようなものも用いられる。なお、 Rfはパーフルォロメチル基、パーフルォロェチル基、パーフルォロプロピル基等の炭 素数 1〜5、好ましくは 1〜3のパーフルォロ低級アルキル基である。

[0013] これらのパーフルォロポリエーテル基油は、単独であるいは混合して用いることがで きるが、潤滑油として用いる場合には、その粘度 (40°C)が約 5〜2000mm2/秒、好ましく は約 10〜1500mm2/秒であることが望ましい。粘度がこれ以下のものは蒸発量が多く 、耐熱用のグリースとして JIS転がり軸受用グリース 3種で規定されている蒸発量 1.5% 以下という条件を満さなくなり、一方これ以上の粘度を有するものは、流動点 (JIS K-2 283準拠)が 10°C以上となり、通常の方法では低温時にベアリング、ギヤ、チェーン等 が起動せず、それを使用可能とするには加熱する必要があり、一般的なグリースとし ては使用適格を欠くようになる。
[0014] 増稠剤としてのフッ素樹脂としては、従来から潤滑剤として用いられているポリテトラ フルォロエチレン〔PTFE〕、テトラフルォロエチレン-へキサフルォロプロペン共重合 体〔FEP〕、パーフルォロアルキレン樹脂等が用いられる。ポリテトラフルォロエチレン は、テトラフルォロエチレンの乳化重合、けん濁重合、溶液重合などの方法によって ポリテトラフルォロエチレンを製造し、それを熱分解、電子線照射分解、物理的粉砕 などの方法によって処理して、数平均分子量 Mnを約 1000〜1000000から約 1000〜50 0000程度に低下させたものが用いられる。また、テトラフルォロエチレンとへキサフル ォロプロペンとの共重合反応および低分子量化処理も、ポリテトラフルォロエチレン の場合と同様にして行われ、数平均分子量を約 1000〜600000程度としたものが用い られる。特に、本発明で好適に使用される融点が 300°C以上の PTFEを得るためには
、 Mnが約 10000以上であることが望ましい。なお、分子量の制御は、共重合反応時に 連鎖移動剤を用いても行うことができる。得られた粉末状のフッ素樹脂の内、一般に 約 500 /i m以下、好ましくは約0.1〜30 /1 111の平均ー次粒径を有するものが用ぃられる
[0015] これらの粉末状フッ素樹脂は、基油、防鲭性添加剤との合計量中 10〜40重量%、 好ましくは 15〜35重量%の割合で添加されて用いられる。フッ素樹脂増稠剤がこれ 以上の割合で用いられると、組成物が硬くなりすぎるようになり、一方これ以下の割合 で用いられると、フッ素樹脂等の増稠能力が発揮されず、離油の悪化を招き、耐飛散 •漏洩性の向上が十分期待できなくなる。
[0016] また、これらの粉末状フッ素樹脂と共に他の増稠剤を併用することもでき、かかる増 稠剤としては、 Li石けん等の金属石けん、ゥレア樹脂、ベントナイト、シリカ、粘土、グ ラフアイト、カーボン、酸化亜鉛等の鉱物、有機顔料、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、 ポリアミドも使用できる力 S、耐熱性、潤滑性の面から考えると、好ましくはモノアミドモノ カルボン酸金属塩、モノエステルカルボン酸金属塩、ジゥレア、トリウレァ、テトラウレ ァなどが用いられる。これらの他の増稠剤も、融点が 300°C以上のものが好んで用い られる。
[0017] 防鲭性添加剤として使用される芳香族スルホン酸塩としては、石油スルホン酸、ァ ルキルベンゼンスルホン酸、ジアルキルナフタレンスルホン酸等の Ca塩または Na塩 が用いられる。これらの芳香族環を有するスルホン酸塩は、耐熱性と防鲭性とにすぐ れている。
[0018] また、飽和脂肪族ジカルボン酸としては、例えばしゆう酸、マロン酸、コハク酸、メチ ルコハク酸、グノレタル酸、アジピン酸、ピメリン酸、スベリン酸、ァゼライン酸、セバシン 酸、ノナメチレンジカルボン酸、デカメチレンジカルボン酸、ゥンデカメチレンジカルボ ン酸、ドデカメチレンジカルボン酸、トリデカメチレンジカルボン酸、テトラデカメチレン ジカルボン酸、ペンタデカメチレンジカルボン酸、へキサデカメチレンジカルボン酸、 ヘプタデカメチレンジカルボン酸、ォクタデカメチレンジカルボン酸等の Ca塩または N a塩が用レ、られ、好ましくは特に防鲭性の点ですぐれている脂肪族基の炭素数力 〜 12のものが用いられる。
[0019] これらの防鲭性添加剤は、基油、粉末状フッ素樹脂増稠剤との合計量中 0.3〜10重 量%、好ましくは 0.3〜5重量%の割合で用いられる。添加割合がこれ以下では、 目 的とする防鲭効果が得られず、一方これ以上の割合で添加して用レ、られると、増稠 剤の所望量を添加できなくなり、増稠効果が期待できなくなる。
[0020] なお、これらの芳香族スルホン酸や飽和脂肪族ジカルボン酸でも、アミン塩は耐熱 性が不十分であり、また Ba塩、 Zn塩は防鲭性、耐熱性の点では満足できる性能を有 してはいるが、近年の環境問題の点からラベル表示が必要となる。
[0021] 潤滑剤組成物中には、さらに従来潤滑剤に添加されている酸化防止剤、他の防鲭 剤、腐食防止剤、極圧剤、油性剤、固体潤滑剤等のその他の添加剤を必要に応じて 添加すること力 Sできる。酸化防止剤としては、例えば 2,6-ジ第 3ブチル _4 -メチルフエノ ール、 4, -メチレンビス (2, 6-ジ第 3ブチルフエノーノレ)等のフエノール系の酸化防止 剤、アルキルジフエニルァミン、トリフエニノレアミン、フエニル-ひ-ナフチルァミン、フエ ノチアジン、アルキル化フエニル - α -ナフチルァミン、フエ二チアジン、アルキル化フ ェニチアジン等のアミン系の酸化防止剤などが挙げられる。
[0022] 他の防鲭剤としては、例えば脂肪酸、脂肪酸ァミン、アルキルスルホン酸金属塩、 アルキルスルホン酸ァミン塩、酸化パラフィン、ポリオキシアルキルエーテル等が挙げ られ、また腐食防止剤としては、例えばべンゾトリァゾール、ベンゾイミダゾール、チア ジァゾール等が挙げられる。
[0023] 極圧剤としては、例えばリン酸エステル、亜リン酸エステル、リン酸エステルアミン塩 等のリン系化合物、スルフイド類、ジスルフイド類等のィォゥ系化合物、ジアルキルジ チォリン酸金属塩、ジアルキルジチォ力ルバミン酸金属塩等のィォゥ系化合物金属 塩などが挙げられる。
[0024] 油性剤としては、例えば脂肪酸またはそのエステル、高級アルコール、多価アルコ ールまたはそのエステル、脂肪族ァミン、脂肪酸モノグリセライド等が挙げられる。ま た、他の固体潤滑剤としては、例えば二硫化モリブデン、グラフアイト、窒化ホウ素、 窒化シラン等が挙げられる。
[0025] 組成物の調製は、パーフルォロポリエーテル基油に粉末状フッ素樹脂増稠剤、防 鲭性添加剤および他の必要な添加剤を所定量添加し、攪拌釜等で十分攪拌した後
、 3本ロールまたは高圧ホモジナイザで均一化処理する方法によって行われる。 実施例

[0028] 得られた潤滑剤組成物について、ェムコ一試験 (腐食度)が行われた。この試験は、 下記の如き通常条件の他に、グリース封入後の試験軸受を 180°Cで 500時間加熱し た後に同様の試験を行レ、、熱履歴を受けた後の腐食度の比較も行った。

1306K軸受にグリースを 10ml封入し、ェムコ一試験機に取り付け、回転数: 80卬 m
、回 転サイクル: 8時間回転→16時間停止— 8時間回転→16時間停止— 8時間回 転→108時間 停止 =合計 164時間のサイクル条件下で試験を行い、軸受外輪軌 道面の腐食状態を下 記基準に従って評価する
なお、本試験には、蒸留水を使用した 腐食度 評価基準
0 腐食なし 無変化
腐食の跡 1瞧以下の腐食点 3つまで
2 弱レ、腐食 腐食度 1以上で腐食部分表面の 1%以内
3 腐食 表面 1%以上 5%以内の腐食
4 強い腐食 表面 5%以上 10%以内の腐食
5 非常に強い腐食 表面 10%以上の腐食 得られた結果は、潤滑剤組成物の組成と共に、次の表に示される。
