Abstract

On décrit une surface intelligente, qui peut être autonome ou s'intégrer à un ordinateur portatif ou à un autre système pour alimenter des transducteurs simples ou multiples sans fil et communiquer avec eux. La puissance utile ou de chargement est transmise par la surface à l'aide d'un signal porteur modulé par tout ou rien ou en amplitude avec des données de synchronisation, d'horloge, d'activation, d'adresse, de modes, de commandes et autres données de largeur d'impulsion, codées ou numériques. Le signal est transmis à des transducteurs intelligents simples ou multiples sans fil situés sur ou au-dessus de la surface, tels que des stylets présentant une capacité diversifiée de détection de pression et de commutation, des pointeurs, pointes traceuses, curseurs, curseurs graphiques, souris, équipements et articles similaires. Des circuits inductifs résonants de recouvrement sont utilisés dans la surface pour transmettre une puissance utile et communiquer des données au(x) transducteur(s). Les transducteurs sont évolués ou intelligents en ce qu'ils contiennent des circuits numériques, tels qu'un processeur ou un contrôleur, qui peuvent être utilisés pour décoder, interpréter et fonctionner sur la base de la puissance et des données reçues de la surface, y compris, au besoin, des données chiffrées relative à la sécurité. Lorsque la surface ne transmet pas, les transducteurs produisent et renvoient des signaux de réponse à la surface.
