Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a writing instrument.
  • a writing instrument has a bar-shaped body portion, an ink container positioned in the body and a tip mounted to the container so that writing on a paper with ink flown out from the tip becomes possible.
  • Such writing instruments can be classified, according to function thereof, into various types such as a fountain pen, a boll-point pen, a pencil, a sharp pencil, a magic pen, a name pen etc. and most thereof have a body portion with a bar or stick shape whose cross section is a circle, a square, a octagon or a triangle.
  • the conventional writing instrument comprises a bar-shaped body portion 1, a tip 3 and a cap 2 fixed to an upper end or a lower end of the body portion 1 for protecting the tip 3.
  • a tip holder 4 is screw- coupled to the lower end of the body portion 1 and a finger holder 5 made up of a soft and elastic material is used to reduce a sense of oppression and a load when a user grasps the writing instrument. Since the finger holder 5 is made up of the soft and elastic material and fixed to the lower end portion of the body portion 1, the index finger, the thumb and the middle finger of a user are prevented from directly becoming in contact with a hard surface of the body portion 1 to provide the user with a comfortable grip sense.
  • the finger holder 5 since the finger holder 5 has a streamlined shape corresponding to the shape of fingers of a normal adult and in addition, may have a slow-curved square or triangle as needed, it serves for reducing a load imposed on the fingers in grasping it for a long time.
  • the user having grasped the conventional stick-shaped writing instrument diagonally with the thumb and the index finger is supposed to exert force on the ends of the thumb and the index finger for writing with the writing instrument supported by a first knuckle of the middle fmger.

  • the conventional writing instrument has a relative small contact area, there is a problem that it provides users having a bad writing ability such as a baby, a student, an old man and a disabled person with inconvenience.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a V-shaped writing instrument in which natural intimacy can be induced from a streamlined shape thereof like a body and wings of a bird, a sense of oppression of the index finger can be released, a hardened skin can be prevented from being formed on the middle finger through increase in the contact area of the middle finger and a writing work can be performed in a comfortable grip state.
