Abstract

比較的低温(例えば、約100℃)での焼成により、高い光触媒作用と、耐久性と、透明性の高い被膜を形成可能な光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を提供する。この組成物は、TiO2と、Zr元素含有化合物と、加水分解性シリコーン樹脂およびSiO2粒子を含有するSi元素含有化合物とを含む。Zr元素含有化合物の酸化物換算での含有量は、1重量部のTiO2に対して0.005~0.1重量部である。Si元素含有化合物の酸化物換算での配合量は、1重量部のTiO2に対して0.5~6.0重量部である。SiO2粒子の含有量は、酸化物換算での1重量部の加水分解性シリコーン樹脂に対して0.1~3重量部である。

光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物 び同組成物の硬化被膜を有する被覆品 技術分野
本発明は、高し、光触媒性及び耐久性を有する被膜を比較的低温で形成可能な 光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物および同組成物の硬化被膜を有する被覆品に 関するちのである。
チタニアに代表される光触媒に励起波長(例えば 400 n m)の光(紫外線) が照射されると正孔(ホール)が生成され、 この正孔が周囲に存在する OH- (水 酸化物イオン)などから電子を奪ラことによって非常に不安定な状態の OHラジ カル(活性酸素)が生成される。 この〇Hラジカルは有機物を酸化分解すること ができるため、 光触媒を基材表面にコーティングすればその表面に付着しだ汚れ 成分(例えば、 自動車の排気ガス中に含まれるカーボン留分ゆ、タバコのャ二等) を分解する自己洗净効果、 ァミン化合物、 アルデヒド化合物に代表される悪臭成 分を分解する消臭:効果、 大腸菌、 黄色ブドウ球菌に代表される菌成分の発生を防 ぐ抗菌効果、 防かび効果等が期待される。
ま 、光触媒を含有する被膜を基材表面に形成すれば、 OHラジカルが被膜 表面に付着した有機物等を分解除去するので、 被膜表面に対する水の接触角が低 下して親水性(水濡れ性) が向上するという効果ちある。 この親水性向上により、 屋内の部材においては、 ガラスゆ鏡が水滴で曇りにくい防曇効果が期待され、 屋 外部材においては付着し 汚れが雨水によって洗浄される防汚効果が期待され る。 さらに、 光触媒作用による帯電防止機能ち期待できる。
このよ な光触媒を基材表面に付与する場合、シリコーンレジンを主成分と レ、 光触媒を含有してなる組成物を基材表面に塗布し、 加熱硬化させて被膜を形 成する方法が知られている。
この種の組成物としては、例えば、特開 200 1 - 46 57 3号公報にお いて、 シリコーンレジンとシリ力ゆチタニア等の無機フイラ一とを言有するコ― ティング組成物の使用が提案されている。 このシリコーンレジンは、 4官能アル コキシシラン又はその部分加水分解物と、 2官能又は 3官能アルコキシシランと の重合物である。 このコーティング組成物を基材に塗布し、 焼成することにより 光触媒を含有する被膜を得ることができる。 しかしながら、 この手法では、 焼成 を 250〜3 5〇°Cの高温で行う必要があるので、 被膜が形成されるべき基材の 種類が制限されるという問題がある。 この i め、 よ 温で焼成可能な組成物が 望まれている。
ま 、特開 9— 3 28 3 36号公報には、光触媒活性を有する被膜を形成 する めの組成物が記載されている。 この組成物は、 ("1 ) ¥均粒子径 1 O Onm 未満のチタニア微粒子と、 (2) Z r元素含有化合物と、 (3) S i元素含有化 合物とを含み、 酸化物換算の重置比が(2) / ( 1 )で 0. 02〜0. 5、 (3) / ( 1 ) で 0. 2〜2. 5である。 この組成物によれぱ、 光触媒活性、 機械的強 度及び耐薬品性が優れだ被膜を形成することができる。 しかしながら、 この組成 物においてち、 基材に塗布した後、 高温(例えば、 650°C) で熱処理されてお り、 基板には、 この熱処理に耐える耐熱性が要求される。
さらに、 特開 2002—1 6 1 238号公報には、 シリコーンレジンと、有 機金属化合物とを含有するコーティング材組成物が記載されている。 この有機金 属化合物は、 一般式: R 1 mM (O R 2) nで表され、 Mは T i、 A】、 Z「および Z r A Iからなる群から選択される少なくとも 1種の金属を示し、 R 1および R2 は同一又は異種の 1価の有機基まだは水素元素を示し、 nおよび mは 0ま は正 の整数でその合計 ( n+m) は金属 Mの価数に等しい。 ま 、 この組成物には必 要に廂じてシリカ、 アルミナ、 光触媒作用を有するチタニア等の無機フィラーが 添加される。 この組成物によれば、 従来と同等の防汚性および親水性を維持しつ つ耐水性および耐ァルカり性にち優れた被膜を形成できる。 しかしながら、 この 組成物においても、 基材に塗布し 後、 高温 (例えば、 300°C)で熱処理され てし る。
このように、熱処理温度を下げてより広し、分野への光触媒作用の利用を可能 にする観点から、 従来の光触媒を含有する組成物には依然として改善の余地があ る。 発明の開示
従って、 本発明の主たる目的は、 比較的低温(例えば、 約 1 oo°c)での焼 成により、 高い光触媒作用と、 耐^性と、 透明性の高い被膜を形成可能な光触媒 含有シリコーン翩旨組成物を提供することにある。
すなわち、 この光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物は、 T i 02と、 Z r元素 含有化合物と、 加水分解性シリコーン樹脂および S i〇2粒子を含有する S i元 素含有化合物とを含み、 Z r元素含有化合物の酸化物換算での含有量が 1重畺部 の T i 02に対して〇. 〇05〜0. 1重量部であり、 S i元素含有化合物の酸 化物換算での配合衋が 1重璗部の T i〇2に対して〇. 5〜6. 0重量部であり、 S i〇P粒子の含有量が酸化物換算での 1重量部の加水分解性シリコーン樹脂に 効して 0. 1〜3重量部であることを特徵とする。
上記し 本発明の組成物において、 Z r元素含有化合物の含有量は、 0. 0 05-0. 02重量部であることがさらに好ましい。 この場合は、 被膜の耐水性、 耐ァルカり性、 耐摩耗性、 耐久性等の性能を更に向上することができる。
ま^、 上記し 本発明の組成物において、 S i〇2粒子は、 平均粒子径 60 n m以下のコロイダルシリカを含 ¾ことが好ましい。 この場合は、 被膜の耐摩耗 性、 外観等の性能をさらに改善することができる。
本発明のさらなる目的は、上記した光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を加熱 硬化させて得られる硬化被膜、 および同組成物を加熱硬化させて得られる硬化被 膜を有する被覆品を提供することにある。
本発明のこれらの及び更なる目的及び長所は、以下に説明する発明の最良の 実施形態から明確になるだろう。 発明を実施する めの最良の実施形態
本発明の好ましい実施の形態を以下に詳細に説明する。
本発明に係る光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物は、 T i 02、 Z r元素含有 化合物及び S ί元素含有化合物を必須成分として含有する。 S ί元素含有化合物 は、 少なくとち加水分解性シリコーン樹脂と S ί 02粒子とを含有する。 Z r元 素含有化合物の酸化物換算(Z「 02換算)での含有量は、 1重量部の Τ ί〇2に 対して O. 005〜〇. 1重量部である。 S i元素含有化合物の酸化物換算(S i 02換算)での配合量は、 1重量部の T i〇2に対して〇. 5〜6. 0重量部で ある。 また、 S i元素含有化合物中において、 酸化物換算(S i〇2換算) し 加水分解性シリコーン樹脂の 1重量部に対して、 S i 02粒子の含有量は◦. 1 〜 3重量部である。
このように配合量が調製された組成物を基材に塗布して硬化させることに より、 自己洗浄効乗、 消臭効果、 抗菌効果、 防かび効果、 防蠹効果、 防汚効果等 の高い光触媒性を有し、 親水性に加えて優れ 外観、 耐^性、 耐アルカリ性を有 する被膜を得ることができる。 まだ、 この被膜は、 室温から 200°Cの比較的低 温で乾燥/硬化させることができる。
Τ Ί θ2としては、 平均粒径が 80 n m以下のものを用いることが好ましい。 優れ^光触媒活性を維持できると共に、 被膜の耐摩耗性を一層改善することがで きる。 尚、 T i 02の^均粒径の下限は特に制限されないが、 5 n m以上とする ことが好ましい。 同組成物を塗布する際に T i 02の凝集を防止して光触媒が均 一に分散し^塗布膜を基板上に提供することができる。
Z r元素含^化合物の含有量が 0. 005重量部に繭 ないと耐水性、耐ァ ルカリ性、 耐摩耗性、 耐久性等の性能が十分に得られず、 0. 1重量部を超える と組成物のゲル化、 凝集が発生し り、 膜外観の低下ゆ光触媒性の低下を招くお それがある。 一方、 S i元素含有化合物の含有量が 0. 5重量部に満 ないと十 分な膜強度が得られず、 6. 0重量部を超えると十分な光触媒性が得られなくな る。 更に、 S i 02粒子の含有璗が 0. 1重量部に満 ないと光触媒性能が低下 し、 3重量部を超えると光触媒性能が低下すると共に膜強度ち低下する。
尚、 耐水性、 耐アルカリ性、 耐摩耗性、 耐^性等の性能をさらに改善するだ め、 Z r元素含有化合物の酸化物換算(Z r〇2換算) での含有量を 1重量部の T i 02に対して 0. 〇05〜0. 〇2重量部、 特に 0. 005〜〇. 0 1 8重 璗部とすることが好ましい。
また、 S i〇2粒子として、 平均粒子径が 60 n m以下のコロイダルシリカ を用いる場合は、 耐摩耗性及び外観を一層改善することができる。 S i 02粒子 の 均粒子径の下限は特に制限されないが、 5 n m以上とすることが好ましい。 同組成物を塗布する際の S!〇2の凝集を防止することにより、 組成物の高い安 定性を確保するととちに、 被膜の良好な耐摩耗性を得ることができる。
本発明の必須成分である加水分解性シリコーン樹脂は、バインダー樹脂及び 造膜成分として ¾いられる成分である。 尚、 加水分解性シリコーン樹脂の形態は 特に限定されず、 溶液状のちのでも分散液状のちのでも良い。
加水分解性シリコーン樹脂としては、次の一般式(1 )に示される加水分解 性才ルガノシラン、 又はその (部分) 加水分解物を用いることができる。
R3。S i X4p ( 1 )
上記式 (1 ) 中で、 R 3は置換若しくは非置換の炭化水素基であって犖結合 で S i原子と結合するもの (1価の炭化水素基) を示し、 複数ある場合には同一 のものでも異種のものでも良い。 pは〇〜3の整数である。 また、 Xは、 加水分 解性基を示し、 複数ある場合には同一のものでち異種のものでも良い。
R3としては、 例えば、 炭素数 1〜8の置換若しくは非置換の 1価の炭化水 素基を用いることが好ましい。 R3の具体例としては、 メチル基、 ェチル基、 プ 口ピル基、 ブチル基、 ペンチル基、 へキシル基、 ヘプチル基、 ォクチル基等のァ ルキル基;シク匚 Iペンチル基等のシクロアルキル基; 2—フエニルェチル基、 2 一フエニルプロピル基、 3—フエニルプロピル基等のァラルキル基;フエニル基、 卜リル基等のァリール基;ビニル基、 ァリル基等のアルケニル基;クロロメチル 基、 r—クロ口プロピル基、 3, 3, 3—トリフルォロプロピル基とのハロゲン 置換炭化水素基; グリシドキシプロピル基、 3, 4一エポキシシクロへキシ ルェチル基、 r—メルカプ卜プロピル基等の置換炭化水素基等を挙げることがで きる。 これらのなかでも、 合成のし易さあるいは入手のし易さから、 炭素数 1〜 4のアルキル基 びフエニル基が好ましい。 尚、 アルキル基のうち、 炭素数 3以 上のものについては、 n—プロピル基、 n—ブチル基等のように直鎖状のもので あってもよいし、 イソプロピル基、 イソプチル基、 t—ブチル基等のように分岐 を有するものであっても良い。
上記式(1 )中で、 Xとしては、 同一又は異種の加水分解性基であれば特に 限定されないが、 例えばアルコキシ基、 ォキシム基、 エノキシ基、 アミノ基、 ァ ミノキシ基、 アミド基等が挙げられる。 すなわち、 加水分解性才ルガノシランの JP2003/009374

具体例としては、 一般式 (1 )中の pの値が 0〜3の整数であるモノー、 ジー、 トリー、 テ卜ラ一の各官能性のアルコキシシラン類、 ァセ卜キシシラン類、 ォキ シ厶シラン類、 ニノキシシラン類、 アミノシラン類、 アミノキシシラン類、 アミ ドシラン類などが挙げられる。 これらの中でち、 合成のし易さ或いは入手のし易 さから、 Xがアルコキシ基(O R)であるアルコキシシラン類であることが好ま しし、。
ま^、 アルコキシ基のなかでち、 そのアルキル基(R)の炭素数が 1〜8の ものであることが好ましく、 この場合、 入手のし易さ、 加水分解性シリコーン樹 脂の調製のし易さに加えて、組成物を塗布/硬化させる際に縮合反) Sがおこり すく、 その結果硬度の高い被膜を形成することができる。 このアルコキシ基中の 炭素数が 1〜8のアルキル基としては、 具体的にはメチル基、 ェチル基、 プロピ ル基、 プチル基、 ペンチル基、 へキシル基、 ヘプチル基、 ォクチル基等が挙けら れる。 このアルコキシ基中のアルキル基のラち、 炭素数が 3以上のものについて は、 η—プロピル基、 η—ブチル基等のような直鎖状のちのであってちよいし、 イソプロピル基、 イソプチル基、 t一プチル基等のように分岐を有するちのであ つてち良い。
また、加水分解性シリコーン樹脂として、上記のような加水分解性オルガノ シランの (部分) 加水分解物を用いる揚合には、 加水分解性オルガノシランと水 を反 ¾させる必要がある。 この場合、 アルコキシ基(〇R) 等の加水分解性基に 対する水 (H 20) のモル当量比 (H 20/X 又は fH 2〇/O R) は、 好ましく は〇. 3〜5の範囲、 より好ましくは 0. 35~4の範囲、 特に好ましくは〇. 4~3. 5の範囲である。 この値が 0. 3に満 ないと、 加水分解が十分に進行 せずに、 硬化被膜が脆くなるおそれがあり、 まだ 5. 0を超えると、 得られる加 水分解性シリコ一ン樹脂が短時間でゲル化する傾向にあり、 組成物の貯蔵安定性 が低下するおそれがある。
ま 、加水分解性オルガノシランとしてアルコキシシラン類を用い、これを (部分) 加水分解する場合は、 必要に麻じて触媒を用いることが好ましい。 この ような触媒としては、 製造にかかる時間を短縮する観点から、 例えば、 酢酸、 ク 口口酢酸、 クェン駿、 安息香酸、 ジメチルマロン酸、 蟻酸、 プロピオン酸、 グル タール酸、 グリコール酸、 マレイン酸、 マロン酸、 トルエンスルホン酸、 シユウ 酸などの有機酸 ;:塩酸、 硝酸、 八ロゲン化シラン等の無機酸;酸性コロイタルシ リカ、 酸化チタニアゾル等の酸性ゾル状フイラ一等を使兩することが好ましい。 このよラな触媒は単独又は二種以上を組み合わせて用いることができる。 加水分 解は、 必要に じて加温し 条件、 例えば 40〜1 0〇°Cで行うことができる。
まだ(部分)加水分解は、 必要に じて溶媒の存在下で行っても良い。 この ような溶媒としては、 例えば、 メタノール、 エタノール、 イソプロパノール、 n ーブタノール、 イソブタノール等の低級脂肪酸アルコール;エチレングリコール、 エチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、酢酸エチレングリコールモノェチルェ —テル等のエチレングリコール及びその誘導体;ジエチレングリコール、 ジェチ レングリコールモノブチルエーテル等のジエチレングリコール及びその誘導 体;並びにジァセ卜ンアルコール類等の親水性有機溶媒を使用することができる。 匸のよ 5な溶媒を単独又は二種以上組み合わせて用いることができる。 ま 、 こ のよラな親水性有機溶媒に加えて、 トルエン、 キシレン、 へキサン、 ヘプタン、 酢酸ェチル、 酢酸ブチル、 メチルェチルケトン、 メチルイソブチルケ卜ン、 メチ ルェチルケトォキシ厶等の一種ちしくは二種以上を組み合わせて用いることが できる。
触媒反麻を促進するためには、 例えば、 アルキルチタン酸塩、ォクチル酸錫、 ジブチル錫ラウレ一卜、 ジォクチル錫ジマレー卜等のカルボン酸の金属塩、 ジブ チルァミン一 2—へキソェ一ト、 ジメチルァミンァセテ一卜、 エタノールァミン ァセテ一ト等のアミン類、 酢酸テ卜ラメチルアンモニゥ厶等のカルボン酸 4級ァ ンモニゥ厶塩、 アミン類、 アミン系シランカップリング剤、 アルミニウムアルコ キシド、 アルミニウムキレー卜等のアルミニウム化合物、 アルカリ触媒、 チタ二 ゥム化合物等を用いることができる。 これらのちのは、 被膜形成時の加水分解性 シリコーン樹脂の重縮合の触媒としても作用し、 被膜の硬化を促進する作用ち.あ る。
このようにして得られるアルコキシシラン類の(部分)加水分解物の分子量 は、 特に制限されるものではないが、 例えば、 重量平均分子璗が 500〜1〇0 〇の範囲であることが好ましい。 この重量平均分子量が 500に満たないと (部 03 009374

分)加水分解物が不安定となるおそれがあり、 1 000を超えると十分な被膜硬 度を保てなくなるおそれがある。
ま 、本発 E の必須成分である Z r元素含有化合物は、 これを組成物中に配 合することにより、 膜形成時の脱水、 脱アルコールによる縮合反麻を促進して、 被膜の架橋密度を高めたり、 基材との密着性を改善したり、 被膜硬度を高める。 また、 被膜の疎水性、 耐水性、 耐アルカリ性の改善にも寄与する。
Z r元素含有化合物としては、 ジルコニウムアルコキシド、ジルコニウムキ レー卜化合物、 ジルコニウムアセテート化合物等が挙げられる。 特に、 Z r (〇 C 4H 9) 3 (C 5H 72) 及び Z r (〇C 4H9) (C 5H702) ( C 6H 903) 2 の少なくとち一方を用いると、 膜形成を室温から約 200°Cの比較的低い温度で 行ってち、 得られだ被膜は高い光触媒性と耐久性を示す。
ま 、 本発明の必須成分である T i 02は、 光触媒として配合される。 特に 結晶型がアナターゼ型である Τ ί 02を用いると、 高い光触媒性能と、 膜形成時 の高し、硬化促進性能を得ることができる。 しかも成膜後に光触媒性能が短時間で 発現すると共に、 この光触媒性能が長期間維持される。
尚、 光触媒としては、 T i 02のみを配合しても良いが、 T i 02に加えて、 酸化 鉛、 酸化スズ、 酸化鉄、 酸化ジルコニウム、 酸化タングステン、 酸化クロ ム、 酸化モリブデン、 酸化ルテニウム、 酸化ゲルマニウム、 酸化鉛、 酸化カドミ ゥ厶、 酸化銅、 酸化バナジウム、 酸化ニオブ、 酸化タンタル、 酸化マンガン、 酸 化コバル卜、 酸化ロジウム、 酸化ニッケル、 酸化レニウム等の単金属酸化物や、 チタン酸ス卜口ンチウ厶等のよ な、 他の光触媒から選択される少なくとち一種 を併用してちょい。 また、 チタンアルコキシドのような最終的に光触媒の性質を 有するちのの原料となるちのを配合してち良し。
T i o2を組成物中に配合するにあたっては、 粉末、 微粒子粉末、 溶液分散 ゾル粒子等、 組成物中に分散可能であれば、 いかなる形態のちのを配合してち良 し、。 溶液分散ゾル粒子等のゾル状のもの、 特に口 H 7以下のゾル状のものを配合 する場合は、 膜形成時の硬化をより短時間で進行させることができ、 利便性に優 れる。 このようなゾル状の T i 02を配合する場合に使甩される分散媒は、 T i Oつの微 子を均一に分散させることができるちのであれば特に制限されず、 水 系、 非水系のいずれの溶剤を用いてもよい。
水系の溶剤としては、 例えば、水単独の (まか、親水性有機溶剤であるメタノ
—ル、 エタノール、 イソプロパノール、 n—プタノール、 イソプタノ一ル等の低 級脂肪酸アルコール類;エチレングリコール、 エチレングリコールモノプチルェ —テル、 酢酸エチレングリコールモノプチルエーテル等のエチレングリコール誘 導体類;ジエチレングリコール、 ジエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル等の ジエチレングリコール誘導体類;ジァセ卜ンアルコール等のうちの少なくとち一 種と水との混合分散媒を用いることができる。 特に、 水一メタノール混合分散媒 を用いると、 丁 i O 2微粒子の分散安定性に優れ、 且つ塗布後の分散媒の乾燥性 に優れる点で好ましい。 ま^、 のような水系のゾルを闲いると、 このゾル状の T i 02を加水分解'注オルガノシランの加水分解の めの酸性触媒としての機能 を兼ねさせることちできる。
—方、非水系の溶剤としては、例えば、上記の混合分散媒に使用される親水 性有機溶剤ゆ、 トルエン、 キジレン等の疎水性有機溶媒等の少なくとち一種を用 いることができる。 特に、 メタノールを用いると、 光触媒微粒子の分散安定に優 れ、 且つ塗布後の分散媒の乾燥性に優れる点で好ましし、。
本発明の必須成分である S i 02としては、 例えぱ、 粉体 5|犬のものゆ、 ゾル 状の形態のもの (コロイダルシリカ) を使用することができる。 コロイダルシリ 力としては、 例えば、 水分散性コロイダルシリカ、 あるいはアルコール等の非水 系の有機溶剤分散性コロイダルシリカを使用できる。 一般に、 このようなコロイ ダルシリカは固形分としてはシリカを 20〜50重釐%»含有しており、 この値か らシリカ配合量を決定することができる。
水分散性コロイダルシリカを用いる場合は、この水分散性コロイダルシリカ 中に分散媒として存在する水を加水分解性オルガノシランの(部分)加水分解に 使用することが'できる。 すなわち、 本発明の組成物の調製時に、 加水分解性オル ガノシランと水分散性コロイダルシリカとを配合すると、 分散媒である水は加水 分解性オルガノシランを加水分解してシリコーン樹脂を生成させる めに使用 される。 配合される水分散性コロイダルシリカ中の水分鼉は、 加水分解性オルガ ノシランの(部分)加水分解に使用される水の使用量に加算される。 水分散性コ ロイダルシリカは、 通常、 水ガラスから得られるが、 市販品として容易に入手す ることができる。
有機溶媒分散性コロイダルシリカは、前記した水分散性コロイダルシリカの 水を有機溶媒と置換することで容易に調製することができる。 このような有機溶 媒分散性コロイダルシリカも、 市販品として容易に入手できる。 有機溶媒分散性 コ.ロイダルシリカにおいて、 コロイダルシリカが分散される有機溶媒としては、 例えば、 メタノール、 エタノール、 イソプロパノール、 n—プタノ一ル、 イソフ タノ一ル等の低級脂肪族アルコール類;エチレングリコール、 エチレングリコ一 ルモノプチルェ一テル、 酢酸エチレングリコールモノェチルエーテル等のェチレ ングリコール誘導体類;ジエチレングリコール、 ジエチレングリコールモノプチ ルエーテル等のジエチレングリコール誘導体類;並びにジァセ卜ンアルコール等 といっ 、 親水性有機溶媒を挙けることができる。 これらの有機溶媒は、 単独又 は二種以上を組み合わせて用いることができる。 ま^、 これらの親水性有機溶媒 と併用して、 卜ルェン、 キシレン、 へキサン、 ヘプタン、 酢酸ェチル、 酢酸プチ ル、 メチルェチルケ卜ン、 メチルイソプチルケ卜ン、 メチルェチルケ卜ォキシ厶 等を一種又は二種以上を用いることができる。
コロイダルシリカを分散媒中に均一に分散させる方法としては、例えば、ホ モジナイザー、 デイスパー、 ペントシエイカ一、 ビーズミル等の通常の分散法を 採用することができる。
本発明の組成物が塗布される基材には特に制限はなく、有機、無機の材質を 問わず種々の基材に組成物を塗布して被膜を形成することができる。 例えば、 基 材として、 プラスチック、 ガラス、 金属等や、 ガラスに金属膜を形成し^ミラー 等を挙げることができる。 ミラーについては、 金属膜の表面に本組成物の被膜を 形成する場合と、 ガラスの表面に本組成物の被膜を形成する場合がある。
これらの基材には、組成物の塗布に先だって、均一な被膜形成のためゆ、被 膜の密着性の向上の めに、 前洗浄を施しておくことが好ましい。 この前洗浄の 方法としては、 アルカリ洗浄、 フッ化アンモニゥ厶洗淨、 プラズマ洗浄、 U V洗 浄等が挙げられる,,
基材への組成物の塗布方法としては、例えば、刷毛塗り、 スフレ一コート、 浸瀆(ティッピング又はディップコ一卜とちいう) 、 口一ルコー卜、 フローコー ト、 カーテンコート、 ナイフコート、 スピンコート、 バーコ一卜等の既存の方法 を適宜採用することができる。
得られだ塗膜を必要に廂じて加熱することにより組成物中においてシリコ ーン樹脂の縮重合反 I が進行し、 組成物の硬化被膜が得られる。 このとき、 室温 から 2 0 0 Cの範囲の比較的低温で成膜を行える。 し£がって、 本発明の光触媒 含有シリコーン樹脂組成物をコーティング材組成物として使用する場合は、 組成 物を基材に塗布し、 従来に比べてより低い温度で乾燥 Z硬化することで被膜を形 成することができるので、 従来は使用できなかった比較的耐熱性が乏しい材料を 基板として使用することが可能になり、 基材を構成する材料の選択自由度が増す という格別の長所がある。
(実施例)
以下、本発明を実施例によって詳述するが、本発明は下記の実施例に限定さ れるちのではない。 尚、 以下の記載において、 特に断らない限りは「部」 は「重 量部」 を、 「%」 は「重量%」 をそれぞれ示す。 ま 、 分子璗は、 G P C (ゲル パーミエ一シヨンクロマトグラフィー) 東ゾ一株式会社製の 「H L C 8 0 2 0」 を甩い、 標準ポリスチレンで検量線を作成し、 その換算鐘から求め 。
〔実施例 1〕
テトラェトキシシラン 2 0 8部にメタノール 3 5 6部を加え、更に水 1 8部 及ぴ〇. O 1 mol /しの塩酸 1 8部を混合し、 デイスパーを Sいて充分に混合し 。 次いで、 得られ 液を 6 0°Cの恒温槽中にて 2時間加熱することにより重量 平均分子量が 9 5 0のシリコーン樹脂を得 。 このシリコーン樹脂に、 Τ Ί 07 2 として酸化チタン水ゾル(固形分量 : 2 1 %、 平均粒子径: 6〇n m) 、 Z r元 素含有化合物として Z r (O C4H9) a (C5H72)、 S i〇2粒子としてシリカ メタノールゾル (平均粒子径: 5 0 n m) をそれぞれ配合し 。
このときの酸化物換算による各成分の配合重量比は、 (T t 02重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重衋) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (3 1〇2粒孑重量)ニ1 : 0. 0 5: 1 : 0„ 5とし 。 これを、 全固形分が 5%となるようにメタノール で希釈して、 第 1実施例の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 得られた組成物を調製後 1時間放置してから、スピンコータにてガラス基材 上に塗布し、 1 0〇°〇で1 0分間焼成してコーティング膜を形成した。
〔実施例 2〕
Z r元素言有化合物として Z r (〇C4H 9) (C 5H72) (C6H 93) 2を用いだ以外は、 実施例 1と同様にして実施例 2'の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂 組成物を得た。 この組成物を用いてガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を 形成した。
〔実施例 3〕
(T i 02重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i〇2粒子重量) 二 1 : 0. 〇1 : 1 : 0. 5とし 以外は、 実施例 1と同 様にして実施例 3の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を用い てガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成した。
〔実施例 4〕
(Τ ί〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重黌) : (シリコーン樹脂重璗) : (S i 02粒子重量) 二 1 : 0. 1 : 1 : 0. 5とした以外は、 実施例 1と同様 にして実施例 4の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を用いて ガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し 。
〔実施例 5〕
(Τ ί〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : CS i 02粒子重量) 二 1 : 0. 05 : 1 . 3 5: 0. 1 5とし 以外は、 実施 例 1と同様にして実施例 5の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得 。 この組成 物を用いてガ'ラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成した。
〔実施例 6〕
(T i 02重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i 02粒子重釐) = 1 : 0. 05: 0. 5 : 1とし 以外は、 実施例 1と同 様にして実施例 6の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を用い てガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し 。
〔実施例了〕
シリコーン樹脂としてテ卜ラエ卜キシシランを用いた以外は、実施例 1と同 様にして実施例 7の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を用い てガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成した。
〔実施例 8〕
(Τ ί〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重衋) '· (S i〇2粒子重量) 二 1 : 0. 05: 0. 5 : 0. 25とし 以外は、 実施例 1と同様にして実施例 8の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物 を用いてガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し 。
〔実施例 9〕
(T i〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重釁) : (S i〇2粒子重量) =1 : 0. 05 : 3 : 1. 5とし 以外は、 実施例 1と罔 様にして実施例 9の光触媒含有シ1 Jコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を用い てガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成しだ。
〔実施例 10〕
S i 02粒子としてシリカ水ゾル(平均粒子径 1 OOnm) を用い 以外は、 実施例 1と同様にして実施例 1〇の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得^。 こ の組成物を用いてガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し^。
〔比較例 "1〕
Z r元素含苟化合物を配合しなかったこと以外は、実施例 1と同様にして比 較例 1の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得だ。 この組成物を用いてガラス基 材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し 。
〔比較例 2〕
(T i〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重矍) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i 02粒子重置) 二 1 : 〇. 2: 1 : 0. 5とした以外は、 実施例 1と同様 にして比較例 2の光触媒含有シリコ一ン樹脂組成物を得 。 この組成物を用し、て ガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し 。
〔比較例 3〕
(T i〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i〇2粒子重釁) 二 1 : 0. 05 : 1. 4 : 0. 1とした以外は、 実施例 1 と同様にして比較例 3の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得 。 この組成物を 用いてガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成しだ。
〔比較例 4〕
(T i〇2重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重畺) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i 02粒子重衋) 二 1 :〇. 05: 0. 3: 1 . 2とした以外は、 実施例 1 と同様にして比較例 4の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を 用いてガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成し 。
〔比較例 5〕
(T i 02重量) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i 02粒子重量) 二 1 : 0. 〇5: 0. 2: 0. 1としだ以外は、 実施例 1 と同様にして比較例 5の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を 用いてガラス基材上に実施例 1と同様にして被膜を形成した。
〔比較例 6〕
(T i〇2重璗) : (Z r元素含有化合物重量) : (シリコーン樹脂重量) : (S i 02粒子重量) 二 1 : 0. 05: 7: 3. 5とした以外は、 実施例 "1と同 様にして比較例 6の光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成物を得た。 この組成物を甩ぃ てガラス基材上に実施例 "1と同様にして被膜を形成した。
実施例 1〜 1 0および比較例 1〜 6で得られだ被膜の各 に関して、以下の 評価を実施し 。
1 . 外観評価
被膜のヘーズ(曇価)を、 J I S K7 1 05 6. 4に華拠して求めた。
2. 光触媒性評価
被膜を形成した直後に、 紫外線(波長 365 n m) を 3mWZ c m2で 1 0 時間被膜に照射し、 この照射後の被膜表面における水の接触角を測定し 。
3. 耐摩耗性
J I S K了 204に準じ テーバ摩耗加工を被膜に行っ 。すなわち、テ
—バー式摩耗試験機 (安田精機製作所製) を用い、 摩耗輪「C S— 1 0 F」 にて 250 g (2. 45 N)荷重、 1 00回転の条件でテーバ摩耗加工を行っ 。 こ の摩耗加工前後の被膜表面のヘーズ(曇価) を J I S K 7 1 05 6. 4に準 拠して求めた。 また、 前記の外観評価において求め テーバ摩耗加工前のヘーズ と、 耐摩耗性の評価において求めたテーバ摩耗加工後のヘーズの差 (ヘーズ差) を求めた。
4. 耐アルカリ試験
被膜を 1 molZ 1の水酸化ナ卜リウム水溶液中に 6時間浸瀆し、その後乾燥 して被膜の状態を観察し 。
上記した評価 1 4の結栗を表 1に示す。

実施例 1 1 0の被膜は、 1〇o°cの温度で焼成し にちかかわらず、優れ た光触媒作用を示すととちに、 ヘーズ(曇り) の小さい良好な外観を有すること がわかる。 また、 いずれの実施例においてち、 耐摩耗性試験および耐アルカリ性 試験後に被膜の剥離は認められなかつ 。
実施例 1〜1〇と比較例 1〜6との間での被膜特性の比較は、 T i〇2、 Z r元素含有化合物、 加水分解性シリコーン樹脂および S ί 02粒子を含有する S i元素含有化合物が組成物中に含まれていても、 それらの配合比が本願発明にお いて定義される範囲内になければ、被膜特性に顕著な差異が生じることを示して
(/、る。 産業上の利用の可能性
T i 02、 Z r元素含有化合物、 加水分解性シリコーン樹脂および S i 02 粒子を含有する S )元素含有化合物を所定の配合量で配合してなる本発明の光 触媒含有シリコ一ン樹脂組成物によれば、 室温から約 200 °Cの比較的低し、温度 で乾燥/硬化させることができるととちに、 得られ 皮膜は高い光触媒性、 親水 性、 耐久性および耐アルカリ性を発揮する。 ま 7£、 透明性の高い被膜が得られる ので、 被膜形成後においてち基材の外観を損なうことが少ない。
このように、本発明の組成物を使用すれば、従来と少なくとも同等の光触媒 性能を維持しつつ、 従来は使用できなかった比較的耐熱性が乏しい材料を基板と して使用することが可能になるので、 基材を構成する材料の選択自由度が増し、 光触媒作用を有する被膜の用途拡大が期待される。

Claims

請求の範囲
1 . T i 02と、 Z「元素含有化合物と、 加水分解性シリコーン樹脂および S ί 02粒子 ¾含有する S i元素含有化合物とを含 光触媒含有シリコーン樹脂組成 物であって、 Z r元素含有化合物の酸化物換算での含有量が 1重量部の T i 02 に対して 0. 005〜0. 1重璗部であ 0、 S i元素含有化合物の酸化物換算で の配合量が 1重衋部の T i 02に対して 0. 5〜6. 0重量部であり、 S i〇2粒 子の含有量が酸化物換算での 1重量部の加水分解性シリコーン樹脂に対して 0. 1〜 3重璗部である。
2. 請求項 1の組成物において、
上記 Z r元素含有化合物の含有量は、 〇. 0〇5~0. 02重量部である。
3. 請求項 1の組成物において、
上記 S i〇2粒子は、 ^均粒子径 60 n m以下のコロイダルシリカを含む。
4. 請求項 1の組成物を加熱硬化させて得られる硬化被膜。
5. 請求項 1の組成物を加熱硬化させて得られる硬化被膜を有する被覆品。
