Definitions
- the invention relates to a massage device for mechanical treatment of the scalp with a plurality of electro-motor-driven massage elements located in a support and acting on the scalp.
- Head massage devices with a plurality of massage elements arranged on a common carrier and driven by an electric motor are known.
- the disadvantage of one of these known devices is that they only partially grasp the scalp and must be shifted in the course of the treatment.
- Other known devices require a tripod or a shoulder yoke or the like in order to absorb the massage forces that occur. This makes the whole device expensive and very voluminous, which causes considerable difficulties with regard to its handling and storage when not in use.
- the invention has for its object to provide an easy-to-handle head massager that treats the entire scalp and one in one operation
- Abutment for example in the form of a tripod or the like makes it unnecessary.
- the scalp is spaced apart by an elastic support band.
- the drive elements carrying, in the longitudinal direction of the head, extending central web are arranged on both sides in a fan-like manner with bearing strips with elastic bands which are guided so as to be displaceable in them and carry the massage elements.
- the elastic bands with the massage elements attached to them on both sides of the central web in slots in the bearing strips are articulated on the drive roller so as to be displaceable by 180, so that they oscillate with each other in an oscillating movement, which means that none Forces are introduced to the carrier and a support element is therefore unnecessary.
- the central web extending in the longitudinal direction of the head and the bearing strips arranged in a fan shape on both sides are formed in one piece, the support band in its entirety because of the desired elastic properties, as a result of which it should adapt to every head shape and because of the manufacture as a mass article can preferably be made of plastic.
- bearings are provided at intervals, in which the A drive rollers for the elastic bands are mounted, bearing shaft, drive shaft and in their extension after a particularly space-saving and cost-effective design Cardan joint connections connected to both sides are formed in one piece and a cardanic connecting link is assigned to each two adjacent cardan joint connections.
- a flexible shaft is arranged between the electric motor drive and the drive rollers connected to one another by universal joints.
- the bearing strips on the side facing the scalp have transverse webs with slots in which elastic bands are guided which are articulated on one end to the drive roller and at the other end are connected by springs to the support designed as a support helmet.
- Each of the elastic bands has a plurality of spring holders distributed over its circumference with compression springs mounted therein and other massage elements affixed to the scalp, the massage elements advantageously being dome-shaped and made of an elastic material, for example ⁇ rubber, exist, so that the scalp is subjected to a back and forth massage treatment taking place under soft pressure.
- the massage elements advantageously being dome-shaped and made of an elastic material, for example ⁇ rubber, exist, so that the scalp is subjected to a back and forth massage treatment taking place under soft pressure.
- the bearing strips are fastened via pins in the support helmet, which has beads that surround the head.
- the drive which can consist, for example, of a transformer, an electric motor and a transmission, is made via the flexible shaft, the cardanic joints and the Drive rollers initiate an opposing, oscillating movement of the elastic bands arranged on both sides of the central web, the phase angle of the oscillation on the drive rollers preferably being 90 or 180.
- the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment.
- FIG. 1 shows a massager for mechanical treatment of the scalp in longitudinal section
- Figure 2 is a massage device for mechanical
- FIG. 3 shows the drive of the massager
- Partial section and Figure 4 shows the drive of the massage device in a section of a view from below.
- the head or the head 10 of the treatment device with the massager according to the invention is surrounded at a distance by a support designed as a support helmet 11, in which an elastic support band 12 also spans the entire head and is arranged at a distance from the scalp Pins 13 is attached.
- the support band 12 has - see also FIG. 4 - a central web 14 running in the longitudinal direction with a plurality of bearing strips 15, 15 'extending in one piece on both sides in a fan-shaped manner thereon.
- a plurality of cross webs 16 are arranged, which have partially open bearing bores 17, in which the bearing shafts 18 of the drive elements 19 can be pressed in via elastic deformation of the bearing material.
- the drive element 19 consists of several functional parts which, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, are formed in one piece. S the drive shaft 20 is attached to the bearing shaft 18. close and in turn a universal joint 21, while a second universal joint 22 is connected directly to the bearing shaft 18. Adjacent universal joint connections 21, 22 are coupled to one another by cardanic connecting links 23. An arrangement of a plurality of interconnected drive elements 19 is thus created below the central web, which are driven via flexible shaft 24 by the drive, not shown in the figures, consisting of, for example, transformer, electric motor and transmission.
- the bearing strips 15, 15 'extending on both sides of the central web 14 in a fan shape at a distance from one another over the entire scalp have a plurality of transverse webs 26 at intervals which contain slots 27 in which elastic bands 28, 28' are displaceably attached are arranged, which are connected at one end via bolts 29, 29 'to the drive roller 20 and at the other end via springs 30, 30' to the support helmet 11.
- a plurality of spring holders 31 with compression springs 32 fastened therein and other massage elements 33 held at the other ends, which preferably have a spherical shape and are made of elastic material, are attached to the elastic bands.
- the support helmet 11 is held on the head 10 via beads 34.
