Design No. 4,910, dated May 16, 1871.
DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
We, J oHN R. Rosa and EDWARD L. GALELY, of the city of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cook-Stoves, of which the following isa specitication.
Ihe nature of the design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustrations, to which reference is lnade.
'Ihe title of' the stove- Olive Branch -is on the side plate A, above the oven-door B, and also on the tire-frout O, above the fire-doors B'".
'Ihe name of the manufacturing irln- 01m, PAIN TER 8L OOP-is on the side plate A, near its bottom edge.
Around the edge of' the raised panel of' the ovendooi B is a scalloped ornament, a.
Inside of this ornament are corner ornaments b.
In the middle ofthe panel is an ornament, ll, which has double scrolls above and below.
In the middle of said ornament d there is an elliptical swelled ornament, e, the transverse diameter of which is in a vertical position.
Ihe panel of the lower side door B' has similar ornamentation to that of the door B, with the exception oi' the ornament d.
In the place of said ornament, and around the swelled elliptical ornament e, is an ornament, d', which has a scalloped border and dots within the same.
The upper side door B" has ornaments like those on the lower door B, with the exception of the corner ornaments b.
Ilie central ornamentation of the lire-doors B' B' is similar to that of the upper side doors B, with the exception of the ornaments d' and e being arranged at right angles to those oi' the latter.
Instead of the scalloped border around the panels, represented on the doors B, B', and B", there is a border of egg-shaped ornaments, a'.
The feeder above the lire-doors B B'" has at each end a leaf ornan1ent,f.
On the fire-front, at each side of the doors, is a vertical ornament, g.
0n the ash-pit doors is a horizontal-leaf'ed ornament, h.
What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for cook-stove, as shown and described.
