Description

DESIG N. No. 34,l65. Patented Mar. 5, I90l.
A. DE ST. GEORGE.
FLASK.
{Application filed Jan. 24, 1901.)
WITNESSES, I #Wsnra W R 7 W A T TOR/YE 4 Q UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
AUGUSTUS DE ST. GEORGE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A FLASK.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 34,165, dated March 5, 1901.
Application filed January 24, 1901. Serial No. 44,632. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, AUGUSTUS DE ST. GEORGE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Flasks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, and in which Figure 1 is an elevation of a flask; and Fig. 2 is a top plan of a flask, showing my new design.
As shown in the drawings, my design comprises a flask having the inwardly-extending curved sides A and the rounded shoulders 13. The front and rear portions of the flask are identical in design, and each has thereon a shield-shaped panel sunk therein. The sides D of these panels are inwardly-curved, corresponding with the contour of the sides of the flask. The lower corners of these panels are rounded, as shown at G C. These corners are extended, forming the lower edge of the panels, and meet in a downwardly-extending point, as shown at H. The upper corners are formed with upwardly-extending points, as shown at E E, and the upper edge is formed in the shape of two downwardlyextending curves, as shown at G G, which have their inner ends terminating in an upwardly extending point, as shown at F. Resting on the top of the upper edge of the panel is a representation of a bird, (designated at I on the drawings.) This bird is represented with its feet resting on the upper edge of the panel and with its wings outspread and its head turned to one side.
The leading or material features of the design are the shape or the configuration of the body of the flask, substantially as shown, the same having on opposite sides thereof shieldshaped panels surmounted by representations of a bird, substantially as illustrated.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a flask, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my signature in the presence of two wit- IIQSSBS.
AUGUSTUS DE ST. GEORGE.
