UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY S. VROOMAN, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A FIRE-BRICK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,842, dated December 20, 1898.
Application filed November 12, 1898. Serial No. 696,311. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY S. VROOMAN, a citizen of the United'States, residing at Ohicago, Cook county, Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Fire-Brick, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is aperspective view of a fire-brick, showing my newdesign. Fig. 2 is an end view of the same.
As shown in the drawings, my fire-brick is rhomboidal in general contour and is formed with its upper and lower edges (1 and a parallel and with the cross diameter of the former slightly greater than the cross diameter of the latter. Extending outwardly and downwardly at an obtuse angle from the upper edge a is a side face I), the vertical diameter of which is approximately one-third of the vertical diameter of the brick. Ext-ending outwardly and upwardly at an acute angle from the lower side a is a side face Z), the vertical diameter of which is approximately two thirds of the vertical diameter of the brick.
On the side of the brick opposite the faces I) and b and extending at an acute angle inwardly and upwardly from the edge Cu is a face 0, the vertical diameter of which is approximately two-thirds of the vertical diameter of the brick, and extending downwardly and inwardly from the edge a is a face 0, the vertical diameter of which is one-third of the vertical diameter of the brick. The faces 0 and c join at an obtuse angle.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a fire-brick substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HARRY S. VROOMAN. WVitnesses:
