DESIGN FOR A PUNCH.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,740, dated May 31, 1898.

To all whom, it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOHN II. IIUMEs, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, State of Missouri, have invented and produced anew and original Design for Punches for Forming Belt-Fasteners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, showing a part thereof.

The drawing is a perspective View of my new design.

As shown in the accompanying drawing, the body 1 is provided with cutting edges, all of which are on a plane with one another and form the leading feature of my design.-

Referring to the drawing, 2 and 3 represent two blades or walls on a line with one another, and 4 and 5 two similar blades or walls arranged at right angles to the first named walls and form a continuation of the same,

a plane surface (3 separating the walls 4 and 5 and located below the edges of said lastnamed walls. The walls 7 and 8 are arranged similar to the walls 2 and 3 and form a continuation of the walls I and 5. Forming a continuation of the wall 8 and projecting at right angles from the same is an additional wall or wing 9.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a punch, substantially as herein shown and described.
