To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN W. My invention relates to a novel design for a mustache-guard; and it consists in the novel contour, all as will be hereinafter fully described, and pointed out in the appended claim.
The annexed drawings, to Which reference is made, fully illustrate my new design, in which- Figure 1 represents a perspective view of my device. Fig. 2 is a plan View. Fig. 3 is an edge View, and Fig. 4 is a vertical transverse sectional View.
As shown in the drawings, the leading feature of my design consists of a pair of lateral extensions a a, that are connected or joined to one another by a horizontal plate, forming the body of the guard. These extensions or twin wings a a curve from the horizontal fiat portion 0 a downward, where they meet the intermediate fiat plate at the point (Z d, While the two opposite ends thereof curve outward from the point e to the pointf t0 the straight edge g, when the edge of the plate curves inwapd, presenting an arc of a circle, as shown at t.
The edge of the guard, as at 2', presents a straight line when viewed from above, and projecting from the depressed portion of the guard is a bar bent in the shape of a hook, as shown at j.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design-for a mustache-guard, as herein shown and described.
