UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE IV. HAMPTON, OF LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY.
DESIGN FOR A GLASS-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 31,125, dated July 4, 1899. Application filed February 8, 1899. Serial No. 704,984. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. HAMPTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Louisville, in the county of Jefferson and State of Kentucky, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Glass-Holders; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to makeand use the same.
The invention relatesto a new and original design for a glass-holder; and it consists of a design of the configuration shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective View of a glass holder, and Fig. 2 is a top plan View.
The leading feature of the design consists of a single piece comprising the plate I and the bowed rod 1. The plate 4 has vertical parallel sides, rounded ends, and apertures 5.
The rod 1 is arranged at right angles to the length of the plate 4 and crosses the plate at its center and merges into the body of the plate, with which it is integral, and for the width of the plate presents but a portion of its curved surface, while the back of the plate is perfectly flat and is at a tangent to the curvilinearity of the bow. From the sides of the plate the rod is bowed laterally and outwardly and is thence curved inwardly and finally on twardly and is provided with knobs 3.
What I claim is:
The design for a glass holder as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set any hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
GEO. \V. HAMPTON.
Witnesses:
W. T. HAYDEN, J. K. BAKER.
