GEORGE \V. REAM, OF CANTON, OIIIO, ASSIGNOR TO THE BUCIIER & GIBBS ILOIV COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A PLOW-STANDARD.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 28,330, dated March 1, 1898.
Application filed December31,1897. Serial No. 665,246. Term oi" patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. BEAM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Canton, in the county of Stark and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Plow-Standard, of which the following is a specification.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of my new design for a plowstandard. Fig. 2 is a view of the same from the rear. Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the same, and Fig. 4 is a side elevation from the opposite side from that shown in Fig. 3.
The leading feature of my design consists in the shape and configuration of the standard.
As shown in Fig. 1, from the top of the standard A the right-hand side curves downwardly and outwardly to the straight edge B, extending at an angle to the point C. The edge B terminates in a recess D, and from this recess the line curves, as shown at E, upwardly to the top of the standard. The curved face F has depressions G and II formed in it, as
shown in Figs. 1 and 3. The edge curves upwardly from the point C to an offset or shoulder K, and from this point the edge is curved up, as seen at L, on a line substan tially parallel to the line I. As seen in Fig. 4, the lower part of the standard on this side is substantially vertical to the line of the shoulder K, and above this shoulder there is a concavity or depression M. The upper end and rear of the standard is of the configuration shown in Fig. 4. Fig. 2 shows a rear view illustrating the concavity or depression N and the approximately triangular recess between the side walls of the standard.
That I claim is- The design for a plowstandard as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aiiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
GEORGE W. BEAM.
Witnesses:
