DESIGN FOR A PLOWSHARE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,069, dated July 19, 1898.
Application filed June 15, 1898. Serial No- 683,521. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE \V. REAM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Canton, in the county of Stark and State of Ohio,
5 have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Ilowshare, of which the following is a specification.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of the share, while Fig. 2 is a top [0 view. Fig. 3 is a view of the share from the front.
The leading feature of the design is in the outline of the share and its connected shinpiece, which rises from the share proper. The
I5 share has a point A thickened on one edge and tapering to the front and opposite edge, and from this point the line of the share extends at an angle between the points B and C. The surface of the share is inclined from this edge upwardly to the edge D E, and a shin- 20 piece F extends upwardly in a curved line, forming a continuation of the straight edge of the share, this line extending from the point to the top of the shin-piece. The face of the shin-piece forms a practical continua- 25 tion of the curved face of the share, and the rear line G E is approximately parallel to the front line of the share-piece. The lower and upper edge of the share proper are connected by a straight line D G. A hole occurs in the 0 share at 11, adjacent to the angles E.
\Vhat I claim is- The design foraplowsharc as herein shown and described.
GEORGE W. BEAM.
