Description

DESIGN.
No. 30,224. Patented Feb. l4, I899.
F. W. BEBERDICK.
PATTERN FOR TROUSERS.
(Application filed Nov. 21, 1898.)
WITNESSES: INVENTOI? ATTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK W. BEBERDIO-K, OF WEST HOBOKEN, NEWV JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A PATTERN FOR TROUSERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,224, dated February 14, 1899.
Application filed November 21, 1898. Serial No. 697,107. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, FRANK W.BEBERD10K, a citizen of the United States, residing at West Hoboken, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern for Trousers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The drawing represents in plan View a pattern of one side and half of the back of the trousers, showing my new design, and it will be understood that the other side and half of the back are the same.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the part A, forming half of the front, and the part B, forming half of the back, and in the particular shape or contour given to the upper edge or ends of these parts. From the point a of the part A the edge extends upwardly on a curved line, which deviates only slightly from a straight line and is inclined considerably from the Vertical to the point a, from whence the said edge extends upwardly on a straight line to the point a From the point a the edge extends on a straightline to the point a ,which line is inclined upwardly from the horizontal. From the point a the edge extends downwardly on a straight line to the point a, and from thence to the point a on a downwardlycurved line. The edge from the point at to a is inclined correspondingly with the edge between the points a and a and is therefore parallel therewith. From the point a the edge extends downwardly on a curved line, which is inclined from the vertical to the point a, from whence the edge extends horizontally on a straight line to the point a. By reason of the curvatures of the lines a a and 0: a the point a presents a sharp angle, which projects in a substantially horizontal plane. From the point I) the edge of the part B extends upwardly in a straight line, which is slightly inclined from the perpendicular to the point I), from which point the edge extends on a curved line to the point 11 From the point 11 the edge of the part 13 extends on a curved line upwardly to the point b from whence it extends upwardly on a straight line, which is substantially vertical to the point I). From the point b" the edge of the part B extends horizontally on a straight line to the point N, from whence it extends vertically downward on a straight line to the point I). From the point I) the edge extends downwardly on a curved line to the point W, from which point the edge extends downwardly on a straight line, which is slightly inclined from the vertical to the point 19 from whence it extends horizontally to the point I). By reason of the curvatures of the lines I) b and b b the point 11 presents a sharp angle, which projects in a substantially horizontal plane and is located on the same horizontal plane as the point a. The points Z2 and b are located on the same horizontal plane, and both of said points I) and b are located on the same horizontal plane as the point a The edge between the points a a and b b is located on the same horizontal plane.
Having fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The design for a pattern for trousers, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presence of the subscribing witnesses, this 18th day of November, 1898.
FRANK V. BEBERDICK.
