PATTERN FDR TROUSERS. (Application am mm'au, 139a) WITNESSES: lNVENTOR gym 2M9 ATTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK W. BEBERDICK, OF WEST HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A PATTERN FOR TROUSERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,223, dated February 14, 1899.
Application filed November 21, 1898. Serial No. 697,106. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK W. BEBERDIOK, a citizen of the United States, residing at West I'Ioboken, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern for Trousers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The drawing represents in plan view a pattern of one side and half of the back of the trousers, showing my new design, and it will be understood that the other side and half of the back are the same.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the part A, forming half of the front, and the part B, forming half of the back, and in the particular shape or contour given to the upper edge or ends of these parts. From the point a the outer edge of the'part A extends upwardly in an inwardly-curved line to the point a. From thence the said edge extends upwardly in a straight line which is inclined outwardly from the perpendicular to the point a from which point the edge extends upwardly on an outwardly-curved line to the point a From the point a the edge of the part A extends inwardly on a straight line which is inclined upwardly from the horizontal to the point a from which point the edge extends downwardly in a straight line which is inclined outwardly from the perpendicular to the point a and from thence the said edge extends in a curved line to the point a. From the point a, the edge extends on a curved line downwardly to the point of, from which point the edge extends downwardly in a straight line which is substantially vertical to the point a From the point a the edge extends downwardly on a curved line to the point of, and from thence the edge extends on a straight line to the point a. The points a and a are in substantially the same vertical plane. By reason of the curvatures of the lines a a and a a the point a presents a sharp angle which projects in a substantially horizontal plane, From the point b the inner edge of the part B extends upwardly in a straight line which is slightly inclined from the perpendicular to the point I), from which point the edge extends on a curved line to the point b From the point 12 the edge of thepart B extends on a curved line to the point b said line curving first inwardly and then outwardly, forming a compound-curved line. From the point 11 the edge of the part B extends horizontally on a straight line to the point I), and from thence on an outwardly-curved line downwardly to the point 12 From the point If the edge of the part B extends downwardly on a straight line which is inclined to the perpendicular to the point I), from which point the edge extends horizontally to the point 19 From the point D the edge extends on an upwardly-curved line to the point b and from thence horizontally on a straight line to the point I).
By reason of the curvatures of the lines I) b and b b the point 11 presents a sharp angle which projects in a substantially horizontal plane and is located on the same horizontal plane as the point a.
The points b and b are located on the same horizontal plane, and both of said points 11 and b are located on the same horizontal plane as the point a The points b and b are also on substantially the same vertical planes as the points I) and b Having fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for a pattern for trousers, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presence of the subscribing witnesses, this 18th day of November, 1898.
FRANK WV. BEBERDICK.
