. DESIGN FOR A COAT-PATTERN.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, FRANK W. BEBERDICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at West Hoboken, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Coat-Pattern, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The drawing represents in plan View a pattern of one side and half of the back of the coat, showing my new design and it will be understood that the other side and half of the back are the same.

As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the part A, forming one side and half of the front, and the part B, forming half of the back, and in the particular shape or contour given to the upper edge or ends of these parts. From the point a the edge of the part A is curved slightly outwardly for a short distance and then extends upwardly in a straight line slightly inclined from the vertical, the upper portion of said edge being slightly curved inwardly to the point a From the point a the edge curves inwardly and then upwardly to the point a forming the curved line a which constitutes apart of the neck-openin g. From the point a the edge of the part A extends in a compound-curved line a to the point a which point a is located below the point a and slightly above the point (0 The coinpound-curved line a represents the shoulder line or seam. The edge of the upper portion of the part A extends downwardly and inwardly from the point a in a curve deviating only slightly from a straight line to the point 0 from which point the said edge is curved in a small semicircle to the point 0 From the point C the edge extends downwardly in a curve deviating only slightly from a straight line to the point 0 which is located vertically beneath the point 0 From the point C the edge extends substantially horizontally in a compoundcurved line, which deviates only slightly from a straight line, to the point a", at which point the edge is curved upwardly.

The inner edge of the part A extends in a straight line slightly inclined from the perpendicular and from the point a at the lower extremity upwardly to the point a The inner edge of the part A is in contact with the straight portion of the adjacent edge of the part A, but separates therefrom at the upper and lower portions, forming the spaces at and d. From the point a the edge of the part A extends upwardly and is inclined outwardly to the point a which point is located above the horizontal plane of the point a of the part A. From the point a of the part A the edge extends in a slightly-curved line to the point a, the upper portion of said line being of somewhat greater curvature than the lower portion. The part 0 of the design is curved on its upper edge from the point t to the point I) to conform with the curved line from O to 0 From the point b the edge of the part 0 extends downwardly in a curved line to the point b ,which point is located near the point C and slightly above the upper edge of the part D. The adjacent edges of the parts A and 0 being reversely curved are separated by the space S. From the point 19 the edge of 0 extends to the point 17 in a curve deviating only slightly from a straight line. From the point 61 the edge of 0 extends in a straight line slightly inclined downwardly to the point I), which portion of the said edge coincides with the edge (1 d of the part D.
