To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE TESINY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Easton, in the county of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Vaistcoat; and I do hereby declare the following to boa full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The accompanying drawing illustrates my newly-designed waistcoat in perspective.
The essential features of my design are, first, the opening in the top of the waistcoat, in the front thereof, extending from the neckband down to about the horizontal plane of the bottom of the armholes; second, the flap portion, which 'extends from the front edge of this opening; third, the ornamental frogs and fastenings on each side of this opening; fourth, the false front, which comprises the closed portion of the waistcoat below said opening and the ornamental frogs which appear across said front below said opening and in parallelism with the first-mentioned frogs; fifth, the opening at the side of the waistcoat, which extends from the bottom of one armhole down through the bottom of the waistcoat; sixth, the fiap portion, which extends from the rear edge of this side opening.
In the. drawing both the opening at the neckband and the opening at the side of the vest are illustrated as partially closed by the flap portions in order that the character of my design as a completed article may be more fully understood.
1 is the opening at the top of the vest and extending downward from the neckband, and 2 is the flap portion extending from the front edge of said opening. 3 are the ornamental frogs and fastenings on each side of this opening; 4, the closed portion of the vest immediately below this opening, and 5 the ornamental frogs which appear thereomwhich portion and frogs constitute a false front.
6 is the opening at one side of the waist: coat, extending from the bottom of one of the armholes down through the bottom of the waistcoat, and 7 is the flap on the rear edge of this opening.
Having thus fullyexplained the nature and character of my design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
