Be it known that we, THOMAS R. KENNEDY and EDWARD J. KING, citizens of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe andState of New York, have in vented and produced a new and original Design for Stoves or Ranges; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing.

The leading feature of our design consists in the shape and configuration of the stove or range as a Whole and of the ornamentation applied to its various parts.

The stove or range is composed of the substantially rectangular body A, supported upon abase 13, consisting of the lower flange or plain borderb and the oblong headed and ribbed portion 7), above which is provided the molding b Extending from one end of the stove is the reservoir-section O, having the ornamental bracket U at the lower edge and having the panel D in relief and ornamented as shown.

E indicates the oven-door, having the bordor l provided with the scroll ornamentation f. 1 indicates ornamented brackets arranged at the lower corners of the oven-door, and K and 'L the decorative latch member, located upon the upper side thereof.

M indicates a small door provided beneath the oven-door, surrounded upon the ends and lower side by the ormtmcnted panel N.

O indicates the lire-pot door, arranged upon the upper corner of the body, provided with the scroll ornamentation shown, and having brackets o on the body extending at the sides of the door.

1 indicates the gratedoor, provided heneath the door O and ornamented upon the diagonal corners by the scroll and leaf ornamentation p.

('3 indicates the ash-pit door, having the plain center (1 and the conventional leaf ornamentation R across the top and bottom.

Arranged upon the end of the stove is the grate-door S, having the damper T.

U indicates a plain band or border provided upon the corners and other portions of the body.

\V indicates the band at the stove-top.
