DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

Be it known that I, ANDREW S. PHELPS, a citizen of the United States, residing in Ohicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Round Base-Heating Coalttoves, of which the following is a specifica- My design is shown in the accompanying illustration, wherein A represents the feet; B, the base; 0, the wall of the ash-pit, fronted with the door C; D, the illuminating-windows surrounding the fire-pot; E, the feed-door in front of the flame-chamber; E E, plates or doors at the side of the flame-chamber, and F the top cover, the latter being surmounted by an ornament, F. Between 0 and D, also between D and E E, and between the latter and the cover F, are horizontal outstanding rims or hands G, dividing the stove externally into horizontal sections or divisions. The plates E are convex, to preserve the general outline of the stove, and are ornamented, as shown.

The mere surface ornamentation of the stove is such as is already employed upon other stoves, and hence forms no part of the present design. The same is true of the foot-rail H, which may or may not be present. The orna mentation of the top ornament, F, is also immaterial.

I am aware of the stove patented in design patent to Dwyer, of February 13, 1883, and disclaim all stoves patterned after said patent. Such stoves do not present the outline of my stove, nor appear to be the same.

I claim The design herein set forth for a base-heating coal-stove of round form.
