DESIGN FOR STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,748, dated April 27, 1880.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM C. My design, in this instance, is applied to a horizontal cylindrical stove having the door at 011e end of the cylinder and the dischargeue at the other. The body A of the stove carries on onesidea raised panel,B, straight at the top and bottom and Waned at the ends. Within the outline of this panel there are crosslines C, making a narrow band. Surrounded by this band is the raised center of the panel, bounded by the curved lines D, and inclosing Within a beaded outline, E, and upon a flat surface, the words Silver Star, as shown. These Words may, however, be omitted or others substituted for them. Scroll-work in raised or depressed lines may be placed on the panel at the ends of the words Silver Star, as shown at F. On the side of the stove, at the ends of the panel, lines straight and curved may be placed, as shown at G, and under the panel straight and cross lines H may be placed, as shown.
The legs of the stove, as well as the bottom flange, carry a round molding, I, and the faces ofthe legs are ornamented with sprays, owers, and fanciful lines, as shown at K. The center of the bottom flange on the sides has a medallion, L, bearing the date 1879, and at each end of the medallion on the flange are fanciful lines and sprays, as shown at M. The ends (i the stove-body at the upper side,
front and rear, carry ornamental castings or eroWn pieces N, having one or both faces formed with suitable figure or figures.
The end door ofthe stove is ornamented with curved border-lines O, on its front intermediate lines and figures, I), and the whole is surrounded by a serrated molding, Q.
A curved line with dots between the curves is placed on the face of the end plate, partly surrounding the door upon the top and sides, as shown at It. The hearth may also be ornamented with irregular lines, as shown at S.
The faces of the ribs which support the mica windows T are also made with curved lines or sprays, as shown at U, and the top of the stove is ornamented with side panels, V, a raised molding, W, above the panels, and a diamondshaped top bordering, X.
I claim- 1. The design for the side of' the stove, consisting of the paneling and bordering B O D E, as shown.
2. The design for the side of the stove under the paneling, as shown at H.
' 3. 'Ihe design for the legs of the stove, as shown at I K.
4. The design for the bottom flange of the stove, as shown at I L M.
5. The design for the top piece of the stove, as shown at V W X.
6. The design for the stove as a Whole, as herein set forth and shown.
In testimony of which invention I have hereunto set my hand this 12th day of February, A. D. 1880.
