BAINBRIDGE V. BURDICK, OF ALBANY, NE\V YORK.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE-DOOR-CATCH SHELL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,764, dated May 31, 1898.
Application filed March 4, 1893. Serial No 672,611. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, BAINBRIDGE W. BUR- DICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Albany, in the county of Albany and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Stove-Door-Catch Shells, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a perspective view of a dooreatch shell, showing my new design viewed from its front end. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the same viewed from its rear end. Fig. 3 is a view of the same from above.
As shown in the drawings, the leadingor material feature of my design consists of a shell having the shape oreonfiguration shown when viewed in perspective and from above, as shown in the several figures. In this shape or configuration of the shell A the inclined upper edge a gradually tapers in its width as it runs forward from the rear end notch I: to the front end of the shell, and the lower edge e is convex in form in direction of its length, with its curve gradually growing sharper as it approaches the front terminal of the inclined upper edge a, as shown in Fig. 1. The lateral sides (Z (Z are inclined toward each other as they extend forward in direciion of the length of the shell, as shown in Fig. 3. At the rear end of the inclined upper edge u is notch f, which is angular in form and terminates at the rear ends of the lateral sides (Z (1.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a stove-door-catch shell as herein shown and described.
