HENRY HUNT, OF GREENVILLE, NE JERSEY, ASSIGNOR TO THE HARTFORD CARPET COMPANY, OF HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,067, dated April 30, 1889.
Application filed March 7, 1889. Eerial N0. 30%336. Term of patent 3% years.

Be it known that I, HENRY HUNT, a citizen of the United States, residing in Greenville, Hudson county, and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.
The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.
My design is composed of the body A and border B.
The body A is composed of gem-shaped or naments disposed at uniform intervals. A few large circular figures of diiferent patterns occur here and there among the smaller figures.
The border B contains in its central band a large circular ornament surrounded by a series of smaller gem-shaped figures. Theinner margin is wide and partly ornamented with gem forms, and the outer margin contains various irregular ornamental figures.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, is-
1. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.
2. The design for carpets, consisting of the border 13, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
