SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,127, dated March 6, 18KB.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JAMES L. FoLsoM, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of an assemblage of geometrical flower forms, generally circular in shape and closely repeated over the face of the carpet, as shown. At the center of these flower forms are square or diamond shaped ornaments of ageometrical character. The leaves of these figures are built up with a sort of block-work giving the figures an irregular rectangular outline. These flower forms touch and overlie one another, making a continuous mass of 25 JAS. L. FOLSOM.
