To ali whom it may concern:

jBe it known that I` ANDREW LITTLE, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the following is n. specification.

The nature of my design is clearl;` shown in the accompanying typographie impression, to which reference is made and it consists of a design for a. font of Script printing-type, the distinguishing characteristic of which is found in the looped termination placed upon the left of the letters A, B, D, F, I, M, N, P, R, T, U, V, W, and Y; upon the right ofthe letters C,

E, G, J, L; upon both the right and left of the letters H, K, S, X,.and Z, and about the cen tral upper portions of theO and Q, and in the tail of the latter. The lower termination of the letter J and symbol & upon the left is fiatzo tened out and curved to the right. The looped ornamentation is found iu the symbol la upon the right at the bottom.

The design is preserved in the lowercase and figures: upon the right of the letters c, f, k, and t; upon the left of the o, w, and z,- upon both terminations ot' the s and x, und about centrally in the upper part of the o; in the igures 3,5, and 9, upon the left; upon the right of the 6, and at about the center of the upper portion of the 0. The dollar-mark symbol has both terminations partly looped.

Having now described my invcntion,-I claim as new- The design for a font of printing-type, ns shown and described.
