To all whom it may vorwern:

Be it known that I, JAMES M. (IoNNIIR, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced anew and original Design fora Font of Printinglype, of which the following is a specification.

The nature of my design consists of an ornamental Italic letter shaded on the right and below by a light line. The upper portion of the A, I), D, H, and K, (upon the left,) P and are concaved, as shown. The upper rounding portion of the I l), l, and It is separated from the up-and-down portion, curves to the right, and terminates in the heavy dot.

The character of the design is preserved in the symbol A's, the diphthong 11*], the punchuation-marks and the numerals, and poundsterling and dollar marks.

Having now described my invontitim, I claim as new- The design for a font of printing-type, as shown, the same consisting of an ornamental Italic lcttershaded on the right and below by a light line, the upper portion of the A. 1L1), P, R, and H and K (upon the let't) eoncavcd, the upper rounding portion of the B l), .l', and R separated from the np-and-down portion, curved to the right, and terminating in the heavy dot, and the character ol the do sign preserved in the symbol It, the diphthong 115, the pnnettiationanarks and the unmerals, and pound-sterling and dollar marks.
