DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRINTING-TYPES.

Specification forming part of Design No. 10,862, dated October 8, 1878; application filed September 17, 1878.

Be it known that I, ANDREW LITTLE, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Types, of which the following is a specification:

The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographieimpression, to which reference is made; and consists of a text letter composed of the heavy portion upon the right and upon the upper side of the horizontal parts, and the lighter portion upon the left, the space between the two being ornamented by a series of short horizontal lines.

The letters A, B, D, F, H, I, K, L, M, N, It, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z are ornamented by the curved line at the bottom, as shown, the line eurvin g from the left to the right.

The letters B, D, G, H, M, N, 0,1), (2,1%, U, V, WV, Y, and Z are further ornamented bythe vertical line, as shown, from which proceeds a short line, succeeded by a dot, and this followed by a short line.

The letters C, E, G, O, Q, and T are ornamented by the rhomboidal ornament, as shown upon the left.

The letters A, B, F, H, I, K, and L have the curved termination at the upper lefthand corner, as shown.

The letters C, E, F, II, I, L, and X have the pennated termination at the upper righthand corner, as shown.

The letters B, D, H, I, K, L, M, N, RB. U,

V, YV, X, and Y have the flourish upon the ANDREW LITTLE.
