一般而言本發明係有關一種光源,且更特別的是有關一種使用一個或多個發光二極體(LED)的光源。又更特別的是,本發明係有關一種用於直接耦接式光學元件的LED光源。此外,本發明係有關一種在車輛方向燈上有特定用途的LED光源。
產業特別是汽車業中之競爭壓力支配著使光源儘可能愈小且愈經濟的需求。這可節省材料本成,且可改良光學造影技術。在與這類需求的競爭下,可能必需對很大的場域面積進行照明,且就車輛照明而言必需在車輛之表面上形成實質可見的影像以標記該車輛之存在。過去已藉由使用非常大的白熾燈及多個反射系統滿足了這類目標。像發光二極體之類固態光源的出現,已朝向藉由徹底地減小光源之尺寸同時增加其使用期限而改良該些系統的方向;不過,仍然存在著使光束成形之照明分散到廣泛面積上以便為該車輛提供更好照明的需求。假如能在無需使用反射鏡下設置這類系統則可在技術上有所提升。提供一種能使用可更換光源之照明系統則可在技術上有進一步的提升。提供一種具有能依顯示器之多樣性訂製設計的直接觀測式光學元件之組合式固態光源可在技術上有更進一步的提升。
因此,本發明之目的是免除習知設計的缺點。
本發明之另一目的是增強各光源。
本發明之又一目的是增強汽車的方向燈。
該等目的係根據本發明某一形態藉由一種LED光源而完成的,該LED光源係包括:一主體,係含有一前方表面及一後方表面,該前方表面包含一口袋結構以收納多個組件,而該等組件則包含至少一個LED及為此設置的電路配置;一外殼,係依將該等組件固定於該散熱座內的方式套入該口袋結構之內;以及一光學導光體,係含有至少一個光導管而定位於該管狀突起內,該至少一個光導管各具有一光輸入終端,其係依一對一之關係與該至少一個LED呈集光對齊的方式加以固定的。
該等目的係根據本發明另一形態藉由一種方向燈而完成的,該方向燈係包括:一收納區,係含有一第一表面和一相對的第二表面,該第二表面係一形成於主體內且具有形成於其內而作實質居中設置的光源收納用孔徑;一光學元件,係相對於該第一表面有效地裝設於該收納區內,該光學元件具有至少一個光學元件輸入視窗;以及一LED光源,係依可更換方式相對於該第二表面而裝設的,該LED光源包含一光學導光體,其具有至少一個光導管且其上的至少一個輸出終端係有效地連接到該至少一個光學元件之輸入視窗上。
本發明之光源是既小又經濟。其結構屬可實體地套入為標準之S8燈座而設計的位置內,且在與常用光學元件結合時可免除對反射性塗層的需求。
為了更了解本發明連同其他及另外之目的、優點及性能,可結合上述各附圖參照下列揭示內容及申請專利範圍。
現在以更特殊之方式參照各附圖,如第1圖到第3圖所示根據本發明第一和第二實施例之LED光源10(第2圖)和10a(第3圖)係包括一散熱座12,其主體含有一前方表面16及一後方表面18,該後方表面18係設置有呈放射鰭片形式的多個散熱器20。該前方表面16係包含一口袋結構22以收納多個組件24,而該等組件則包含至少一個LED 25,25a及為此設置的電路配置(未圖示)。兩個實施例的共同點是其外殼係如第1圖所示具有一凸緣28及一管狀突起30。也可設置一密封墊圈31以便在裝設有LED光源10時提供環境密封作用。該凸緣28係套入該口袋結構22以便依稍後會作說明的方式將該多個組件24固定於該散熱座12內。如第2圖和第4圖所示之實施例中,較佳的是該多個LED 25係使用像Advanced Power TOPLEDs(APT)之類的已知型式。如第3圖和第5圖所示之實施例中,較佳的是該多個LED 25a係使用像OSTARs之類稱作晶片在板上的已知型式。該APT及OSTAR兩種LED皆可購自德國理斯堡之OSRAM OPTO Semiconductors GmbH公司。
現在將參照如第2圖所示之特定實施例,一種由像丙烯酸(acrylic)或聚碳酸酯(polycarbonate)之類具有適合透明度之材料製成的光學導光體32,係含有圍繞一核心35而設置的至少一個光導管34。此中揭示的所有較佳實施例中,該光導管及LED的數目為八個,不過通常能於形成有一孔39以便施行螺紋或類似連接之中央核心35上支撐其他數目的LED。該光學導光體32係定位於該管狀突起30內,使得各含一光輸入終端34a之該至少一個光導管34係依一對一的關係與該至少一個LED 25呈集光對齊之方式加以固定的。第8圖中最清楚地顯示了該等關係。在該多個光導管34與多個支架35a之間形成有多個槽溝32a,以允許該多個光導管34相互間且相對於該中央核心35都具有彈性以容納該LED 25在封裝上的公差。其內之隆起58係從該光學導光體32的底部延伸出來且其內含有一孔37a。

對LED光源10的總成而言,將該電氣絕緣墊片42a套入該散熱座12之隔室42b內,並將該調整墊片38置於該口袋結構22內,使該多個連接器42穿透該電氣絕緣墊片42a並自其中延伸出以用在電源的後續連接上。該調整墊片40係定位於該PCB上,且隨著該隆起58延伸穿透該調整墊片40、孔徑38a而進入形成於該口袋結構22之中心點上的井孔60之內,將該光學導光體32套在其上。將一螺栓62插入穿過該隆起58之孔徑而成與井孔60內的含螺紋部分嚙合。結合形成於各光導管34之間的彈性槽溝32a而控制該螺栓62進到該井孔60內之穿透量,以確保各輸入窗口34a可在不致破壞該LED或導光體下緊密地鄰接到個別的LED沖模上,因此保障有最大的光輸入到該導光體32上。
然後使外殼26被施有一可套進該口袋結構22內之凸緣28以及圍繞該導光體32的管狀突起30。第4圖和第5圖中可看得最清楚,可能呈含螺紋之螺栓形式的固定器66係從散熱座12的底座插入,而與形成於該凸緣28之底側上的含螺紋部分68嚙合。
現在參照第3圖和第5圖,散熱座12a係包含一位於該口袋結構22內之中央突座44,而PCB 38a則包含一圍繞該突座44的中央孔徑46。金屬-被覆印刷電路板48係裝設有至少一個LED 25且係定位於該突座44上。此實施例中,較佳的是該多個LED 25a係使用像OSTARs之類稱作chip-on-board的已知型式,且因此導光體33不再需要該彈性槽溝而可以是堅實的槽溝,因為由於不再存在任何這類封套而不再需要容納可能出現於沖模封裝作業的可變公差。同時,免除了該調整墊片。
理想情況下適合將該LED光源10用於方向燈50(第7圖)上,該方向燈50包括的收納區52係含有一第一表面52a和一相對的第二表面52b,且形成於主體54內且具有形成於其內而作實質居中設置的光源收納用孔徑56。該主體54可以是車輛上像之類後方1/4面板的一部分,且該方向燈50可以是一尾燈或是煞車燈。
該光學元件37之輸入終端係相對於該第一表面燈52a有效地裝設於該收納區52內。該光學元件37具有數目為N之光學元件輸入視窗37a以便和該LED光源10上的對應輸出視窗配合。
該LED光源10係依可更換方式相對於該第二表面52b而裝設的,例如藉由旋轉該單元以使形成於該管狀突起30上之多個耳狀凸邊70與跟該相對的第二表面52b一起形成的適合嚙合槽相嚙合。這種結合方法是汽車產業中相當標準的方法。
如第6圖和第7圖所示之特定實施例中,該光學元件37係含有依遠離中心點之方式延伸的複數個輸出端37b;不過,只要該光學元件之各輸出視窗能符合該導光體之各輸出視窗,實質上可設置任何的結構。除此之外,假如必要的話可在各接腳之任一側或是兩側終端上提供適合的透鏡作用以增加或者修正該光輸出量。
這種系統的外加優點免除了反射表面,而允許該收納區52具有和該主體54相同之色彩且大幅地增加了設計的選擇性。
使用任何涉及LED(或其他光源)及光學元件之系統的關鍵條件是使該光源及光學元件對齊,使其具有最大的可用輸出光。有一種方法係經由調整螺絲釘及如上所述之調整墊片完成這個目的。另一種方法係如第8圖所示,其中該LED沖模100係設置有圍繞該LED的多個內部突起102。該等內部突起之高度係受到非常準確的控制,且因此可藉由在各輸入視窗34a與該多個內部突起102之間製作接點,允許光導管34之鄰接輸入視窗34a相對於該LED有準確的定位。
現在參照第9圖,其中顯示的一種替代導光體33a係相對於各輸入視窗34a以某一角度形成各輸出視窗36b,以便使自其中射出之光聚焦在該導光體上方的點P上。已聚焦到點P上之光則可被引導到一光學元件或透鏡或是任意其他適合的裝置上。
現在參照第10圖,同樣地可使導光體32a設置有傾斜之輸出視窗36b以便使射出的光聚焦在點P上。
雖則已顯示並說明了本發明目前所考量的多個較佳實施例,對於熟悉習用技術的人而言,很明顯的是可在不偏離如本發明所附申請專利範圍所定義之範圍下作各種改變和修飾。

Claims (5)

  1. 一種LED光源,包含:一主體,其包括有一前方表面及一後方表面,該前方表面具有一口袋結構以收納組件,該組件包括第一及第二印刷電路板,該第一印刷電路板是金屬被覆的,且具有至少一LED及為其設置的電氣電路;該口袋結構具有一中央突座,該第二印刷電路板具有一圍繞該突座之中央孔徑,該第一印刷電路板是直接安裝在該中央突座上;一外殼,嵌入該口袋結構內,以將該等組件固定於該主體內;該外殼具有一凸緣及一管狀突起;及一光學導光體,具有至少一定位於該管狀突起內的光導管,該至少一光導管各具有一光輸入終端,與該至少一LED一對一的成集光對齊的方式被固定。
  2. 一種車輛用的光學導光體,其建構成可納入一構形成可接納S8燈泡的孔徑內,該導光體包含:一中央核心,具有一縱向軸線及一與該縱向軸線同軸向的中央孔;複數光導管;複數光導管支架,係自該中央核心延伸出,該 等光導管支架的每一者支撐一個別的光導管,各光導管是由透光材料形成,且具有一光輸入視窗、一光輸出視窗以及一從該輸入視窗延伸到該輸出視窗的內反射壁;各光導管與相鄰的光導管之間藉一彈性槽溝而分開;一外殼,用以支撐該中央核心,該外殼具有複數與該等光導管相同數量的LED,該等LED沿一中央開口相互間隔開,各光輸入視窗係相對於其中一LED成可作動的安裝;及一調整構件,設於該中央孔內,且與該中央開口相嚙合,藉此調整該調整構件以影響該等光導管與該等LED之間的對齊。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第2項之光學導光體,其中該中央開口具有螺紋,而該調整構件具有相匹配的螺紋。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第3項之光學導光體,其中是藉上緊或鬆開該調整構件來調整該調整構件。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第4項之光學導光體,其中該透光材料是由丙烯酸及聚碳酸酯的群組中選出的。
