Abstract

1310790 Light intensity indicator P PROBERT 25 Nov 1971 55835/71 Heading G1P A light intensity indicator to indicate when natural light conditions are too dark or too bright in given situations comprises a sheet material forming a background colour on which is fixed a symbol of a second colour wherein the shades of the two colours are so chosen for natural light conditions in a given situation that when said light is too dark or too bright the colours merge and become indistinguishable. Where the colours are matt they are designed to merge when the light fails, e.g. to indicate lighting-up time for road vehicles or when dipped head lights should be used. If the colours are luminous they are designed to merge when the light is too bright.
