Inventia se refera la un procedeu de obtinere pe cale microbiologica a unor glicopeptide, procedeu ce consta în faptul ca microorganismul Streptomyces toycaenisis NRRL 15009, se cultiva pe un mediu de cultura ce contine surse asimilabile de carbon, de azot si saruri anorganice nutritive, la temperatura de 20...40 degree C Ph cuprins între 6,4...7, timp de 36h pîna la 7 zile, dupa care produsul se purifica si eventual se poate transforma în saruri prin metode cunoscute.
