Abstract

New process for the carbon nutrition of in vitro cultures of plant cells obtained from species classified in the phylum of phanerogams, using lactose and its naturally occurring forms, in particular dairy industry wastes. This process is accomplished by producing strains capable of growing normally on lactose-containing media by adaptation or selection modifying their genetic regulation. <IMAGE>
