Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en solid-state fermentor, spesielt for store volum, og også en metode for solid- state fermentering. Oppgaven for den foreliggende ' oppfinnelsen består i å utvikle eri'solid-state fermentor for store volum og presentere en fremgangsmåte for solid-state fermentering som gir en lønnsom anven- delse for solid-state fermenteringen for konkurranse- svake mikroorganismer i store fermentorer. Solid- state fermentoren som angår oppfinnelsen er karakten-..... sert ved at den representerer en etasjefermentor, hvor- ved minst to luft- og vanngjennomtrengelige etasje- bunner er anordnet over hverandre og som er forbun- det med veggene i beholderen slik at hverken luft eller vann kan strømme forbi på sidene, at det på etasje- bunnen befinner seg et kultursubstrat for mikroorga- nismene som skal kultiveres, det er anbrakt en kjøle- innretning under hver etasjebunn og fermentoren er lukket med et deksel.
