Abstract

La presente invencion se dirige hacia un receptor optico que tiene un circuito de control de ganancia automatica de ciclo abierto (AGC). Las senales opticas recibidas por el receptor optico se convierten en senales electricas por medio de un fotodiodo. Las senales electricas se amplifican subsecuentemente a traves de una etapa de amplificador de salida y entada. La senal amplificada se convierte asi en senales RF y se proporcionan a un puerto de salida para mayor transmision. De manera concurrente, el circuito AGC detecta el nivel de energia optica de entrada en el fotodiodo de entrada. El nivel de energia optica de entrada se compara con un voltaje de referencia, proporcionando de tal modo un voltaje diferente. El voltaje diferente se aplica a etapas de amplificador de salida y entrada para corregir las senales electricas a fin de asegurar un nivel de energia de salida constante.
