Description
光受信サブアセンブリ1は、左方より入射された光変調信号を電気信号に変換し、差動信号を出力する。その差動出力信号は、2本の出力リードピンを通じてフレキシブル基板2上の伝送線路3および4に出力される。その出力信号は、主基板5上の配線パタンを通じて直流分離用容量7、8、平衡型減衰器回路を構成する抵抗9、10、11、12および平衡型減衰回路と並列に接続した容量13、14を通過した後、ポストアンプ6に入力される。
ポストアンプ6は、可変利得(AGC)アンプICやアンプ内蔵CDR(Clock and Data Recovery)IC等を用いる。なお、ポストアンプ6の出力は、図示を省いた。
実施例2において、実施例1との違いは周波数特性補償回路104を平衡H型減衰回路と並列接続容量素子113、114とで構成した点にある。平衡H型減衰回路を構成する抵抗素子108、109、110、111、112の抵抗値は所望の減衰量を実現できる値を選び、ここではそれぞれ15Ω、15Ω、15Ω、15Ω、180Ωとする。並列接続容量素子113、114の容量値は、所望の補償特性が得られる値に調整し、ここでは1.2pFとする。
Claims (3)
- 光信号を電気信号に変換する受光素子と該受光素子の出力信号を増幅する第1のアンプとを含む光受信サブアセンブリと、前記第1のアンプの出力をさらに増幅する第2のアンプを搭載する主基板と、を含む光受信機において、
前記第1のアンプは、差動出力端子を有し、
前記第2のアンプは、差動入力端子を有し、
前記光受信サブアセンブリと前記主基板とは、前記第1のアンプによって増幅された差動出力信号を伝送するフレキシブル基板で接続され、このフレキシブル基板には、2本の差動信号用マイクロストリップ線路が設けられ、
前記主基板上には、フレキシブル基板接続部と前記第2のアンプとの間を結ぶ2本の差動信号用線路が設けられ、これらの差動信号用線路の途中に、直流分離用容量素子と、表面実装型のチップ抵抗器からなる抵抗素子と表面実装型のチップコンデンサからなる容量素子とで構成された周波数特性補償回路とを有し、
前記周波数特性補償回路は、
前記差動信号用線路のそれぞれに直列に挿入され且つ値の等しい2個の直列抵抗素子と、前記直列抵抗素子の入力端子間と出力端子間とをそれぞれ接続し且つ値の等しい2個の抵抗素子とで構成される平衡減衰回路と、
この平衡減衰回路の前記直列抵抗素子のそれぞれと並列に接続し且つ値の等しい2個の容量素子と、
からなることを特徴とする光受信機。 - 光信号を電気信号に変換する受光素子と該受光素子の出力信号を増幅する第1のアンプとを含む光受信サブアセンブリと、前記第1のアンプの出力をさらに増幅する第2のアンプを搭載する主基板と、を含む光受信機において、
前記第1のアンプは、差動出力端子を有し、
前記第2のアンプは、差動入力端子を有し、
前記光受信サブアセンブリと前記主基板とは、前記第1のアンプによって増幅された差動出力信号を伝送するフレキシブル基板で接続され、このフレキシブル基板には、2本の差動信号用マイクロストリップ線路が設けられ、
前記主基板上には、フレキシブル基板接続部と前記第2のアンプとの間を結ぶ2本の差動信号用線路が設けられ、これらの差動信号用線路の途中に、直流分離用容量素子と、表面実装型のチップ抵抗器からなる抵抗素子と表面実装型のチップコンデンサからなる容量素子とで構成された周波数特性補償回路とを有し、
前記周波数特性補償回路は、
前記差動信号用線路のそれぞれに直列に挿入され且つ値の等しい2個の第1の直列抵抗素子と、前記第1の直列抵抗素子の出力端子間を接続する抵抗素子と、前記第1の直列抵抗素子の出力端子にそれぞれに直列に挿入され且つ前記第1の直列抵抗素子と値の等しい2個の第2の直列抵抗素子と、で構成される平衡減衰回路と、
この平衡減衰回路の入力端子と出力端子との間をそれぞれ接続し且つ値の等しい2個の容量素子と、
からなることを特徴とする光受信機。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の光受信機であって、
前記周波数特性補償回路は、低周波から10GHzまでの入力反射特性を−10dB以下とし、且つ出力反射特性を−10dB以下とする特性を有することを特徴とする光受信機。
