Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un metodo para curvar al menos una lamina de vidrio (3) que comprende una etapa para permitir que el vidrio se hunda por gravedad; despues colocar la region central de dicha una o mas laminas (3) en contacto con un formador macho (2) mediante avance de un formador hembra (4) que sostiene dicha lamina hacia dicho formador macho, localizandose dicho formador macho (2) por encima de dicho formador hembra (4) siendo posible el movimiento vertical de uno con respecto al otro en una celda de flexion (12); despues una fase de prensado del vidrio en su region periferica entre el formador macho (2) y el formador hembra; entonces una fase para sostener el vidrio contra el formador macho (2) mediante vacio parcial, continuandose el prensado; entonces descontinuar el prensado mediante separacion del formador macho del formador hembra; y despues una etapa de enfriamiento del vidrio fuera de la celda de flexion. La invencion hace posible producir curvas con radios de curvatura cortos en dos direcciones perpendiculares sin dejar marcas en el vidrio.
