En un elemento fotosensible electrofotografico, que comprende un soporte conductivo provisto sobre una capa de generacion de carga, una capa de transporte de carga y una capa protectora, en este orden, el espesor a0(??n) de la capa de transporte de carga, en la porcion media del soporte conductivo, en su direccion generatriz, el espesor b0 (mum) de la capa protectora, en la porcion media del soporte conductivo, en su direccion generatriz, el espesor - a (mum) de la capa de transporte de carga, en una porcion diferente de la porcion media, y el espesor b (??n) de la capa protectora, en una porcion diferente de la porcion media, satisfacen la siguiente expresion (1), en una region que satisface los limites de 0.8 (??m) = (a0-a) = 3.0 (??m): b0 x (a/a0)3 = b (??m) = b0 x (a/a0)1/4 (1). Tambien se describen un cartucho del proceso y un aparato electrofotografico, los cuales tienen tal elemento fotosensible electrofotografico.
