Abstract
De acuerdo con un aspecto de la invencion, se proporciona una composicion de caucho curable que incluye un elastómero de dieno de alto peso molecular; opcionalmente, una composicion de negro de carbón; una composicion de sílice; y un polímero de farneseno que comprende monómeros de farneseno. El polímero de farneseno se modifica con al menos un grupo silano, tiene un peso molecular promedio en número de 1,000 g/mol a 100,000 g/mol, y tiene una temperatura de transición vitrea igual o inferior a -40 °C. De acuerdo con otro aspecto de la invencion, se proporciona un metodo para producir una composicion de caucho para su uso en un neumático. El metodo incluye formar una composicion mediante la mezcla de un polímero de farneseno modificado con al menos un grupo silano, una composicion de sílice, un elastómero de dieno de alto peso molecular, y, opcionalmente, una composicion de negro de carbón, el polímero de farneseno que comprende monómeros de farneseno; y curar la composicion.
