Abstract
Se describe una suspensión de muelle elastomérico para soportar un riel de chasis de vehículo que se extiende longitudinalmente por arriba de primero y segundo ejes que forman una configuración de ejes en tándem; la suspensión incluye un ensamble sustentador de chasis montado en el riel de chasís del vehículo; el ensamble sustentador de chasis tiene dos módulos de muelle completos, cada uno de los cuales incluye dos muelles de deslizamiento, un amortiguador de carga de margen elástico progresivo que tiene un perfil piramidal con una superficie superior aplanada y un montaje de muelle para montar los muelles; un ensamble de soporte se conecta al montaje de muelle; y una viga de compensación se conecta al ensamble de soporte y está conectada además a los ejes; el margen elástico para la suspensión se incrementa casi linealmente como una función de la carga sobre muelles, semejando una suspensión neumática; en consecuencia, la suspensión exhibe una excelente calidad de funcionamiento, sin sacrificar la estabilidad de rodamiento.
