Abstract
Un proceso de hidroprocesamiento en fase líquida continuo, aparato y sistemas de control de proceso, donde se elimina la necesidad para circular gas hidrógeno a través del catalizador. Al mezclar y/o evaporar instantáneamente el hidrógeno y el aceite a ser tratado en la presencia de un solvente o diluyente en el cual la solubilidad de hidrógeno es alta con relación a la alimentación de aceite, todo el hidrógeno requerido en las reacciones de hidroprocesamiento puede estar disponible en solución. La solución de aceite/diluyente/hidrógeno luego puede ser alimentada a un reactor de flujo tapón empacado con catalizador donde reaccionan el aceite y el hidrógeno. No se requiere hidrógeno adicional; por lo tanto, los reactores de lecho por goteo grandes pueden ser reemplazados por reactores tubulares mucho más pequeños. La cantidad de hidrógeno adicionada al reactor se puede utilizar para controlar el nivel de líquido en el reactor o la presión en el reactor.
