Abstract

La invención se relaciona a un proceso para recubrir una materia particulada insoluble en agua, sólida, con un óxido de metal que comprende: (a) poner en contacto la materia particulada insoluble en agua, sólida, con un aditivo iónico y un medio acuoso para obtener una dispersión de la materia particulada que tiene cargas positivas sobre su superficie; (b) someter la materia particulada a un procedimiento de recubrimiento que comprende precipitar una sal de óxido de metal sobre la superficie de la materia particulada para formar una capa de óxido de metal sobre la misma para de esta manera obtener materia particulada recubierta por una capa de recubrimiento de óxido de metal; (c) repetir la etapa (b) por lo menos 4 veces más; y (d) envejecer la capa de recubrimiento. La invención además se relaciona a partículas que comprenden una materia particulada recubierta por una capa de óxido de metal, a un uso de las partículas para administración tópica, y a un método para prevenir, reducir o eliminar pestes en un sitio, usando las partículas.
