Abstract
Con el fin de lograr un estado de bloqueo intermedio en un periodo corto cuando el motor de combustión interna se detiene y mejorar la precisión de la confirmación del estado de bloqueo intermedio, un aparato de control para la temporización de las válvulas del motor de combustión interna incluye un mecanismo de temporización variable de las válvulas capaz de variar la temporización de las válvulas de las válvulas de admisión/escape, y un mecanismo de bloqueo intermedio capaz de restringir las posiciones relativas de rotación de un primero y un segundo rotores del mecanismo de temporización variable de las válvulas en una posición de bloqueo intermedio para arrancar el motor de combustión interna. Cuando se detecta la petición de detención del motor de combustión interna, el mecanismo de temporización variable de las válvulas y el mecanismo de bloqueo intermedio se accionan y se controlan de modo tal que el estado de bloqueo intermedio se establezca antes que el motor de combustión interna se detenga (S12). Cuando se detecta el estado de bloqueo intermedio dentro de un periodo predeterminado AT desde la detección de la petición de detención del motor de combustión interna, o cuando el periodo predeterminado T ha expirado desde la detección de la petición del detención del motor de combustión interna, se lleva a cabo un proceso de detención del motor de combustión interna (S13 a S16).
