Abstract
Un sistema y método de formación de un material compuesto resistente al desgaste incluye colocar un material de relleno poroso resistente al desgaste en una cavidad de molde e infiltrar el material de relleno con un material de matriz por calentamiento hasta una temperatura suficiente para fundir el material de matriz, luego enfriar el conjunto para formar un material compuesto resistente al desgaste.
