Abstract
La invención proporciona un reticulador vinílico de polidiorganosiloxano hidrofilizado que comprende (1) una cadena de polímero de polidiorganosiloxano que comprende unidades dimetilsiloxano y unidades siloxano hidrofilizadas teniendo cada una un sustituyente metilo y un sustituyente radical orgánico C4-C40 monovalente que tiene de dos a seis grupos hidroxilo, en donde la relación molar de las unidades siloxano hidrofilizadas a las unidades dimetilsiloxano es de aproximadamente 0.035 a aproximadamente 0.15 y (2) dos grupos terminales (met)acriloílo. El reticulador vinílico de polidiorganosiloxano hidrofilizado tiene un peso molecular promedio numérico de desde aproximadamente 3000 Dalton a aproximadamente 80,000 Dalton. La presente invención también se refiere a una lente de contacto de hidrogel de silicona que comprende unidades repetitivas derivadas de un reticulador vinílico de polidiorganosiloxano hidrofilizado de la invención.
