Abstract

Se describen aparatos y métodos para producir pulsos ópticos ultracortos (1-110); se puede fabricar un láser de estado sólido pasivo con bloqueo de alta potencia (1-110) en un módulo compacto que se puede incorporar en un instrumento portátil para análisis biológicos o químicos; el láser pulsado puede producir pulsos ópticos sub-100-ps a una tasa de repetición proporcional a las tasas de adquisición de datos electrónicos; los pulsos ópticos pueden excitar muestras en las cámaras de reacción del instrumento, y usarse para generar un reloj de referencia para operar los componentes electrónicos de adquisición de señales.y de procesamiento de señales del instrumento.
