Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con una emulsión acuosa que incluye un polímero que contiene una unidad monomérica etilénicamente insaturada como un disperso y un alcohol polivinílico como un dispersante. El contenido de un alcohol polivinílico libre en la emulsión acuosa es de 0.2 a 20 partes en masa con relación a 100 partes en masa del polímero que contiene la unidad monomérica etilénicamente insaturada. El alcohol polivinílico libre tiene un grado de saponificación de 80.0% mol a 99.5% mol y un grado promedio de viscosidad de polimerización de 200 a 5000, y el alcohol polivinílico libre tiene un factor de simetría (W0.05h/2f) que satisface la siguiente expresión (1) de acuerdo a lo determinado por cromatografía de líquidos de alta resolución por gradiente por separación en fase inversa usando un eluyente de agua-acetona de acuerdo con el JIS K 0124 (2011). 0.85 = W0.05h/2f = 1.30 (1) (Las definiciones de los símbolos son omitidas).
