Abstract
Se describe un procedimiento para eliminar N2O y NOX de los gases de purga por descomposición catalítica del N2O por medio de catalizadores de zeolita que contienen hierro, y reducción catalítica del NOX por medio de agentes reductores; el paso de descomposición de NOX conectado corriente abajo del paso de descomposición de N2Osiendo operado a temperaturas de entrada T < = 400 °C, y el gas de entrada para el paso de descomposición de N2O comprendiendo agua y teniendo una relación N2O/NOX seleccionada, y los parámetros de operación de temperatura, presión y velocidad espacial del paso de descomposición de N2O siendo seleccionados a fin de producir una degradación de N2O de 80 a 98 %; bajo estas condiciones, se establece un grado de oxidación de NOX de 30-70 % en la salida del paso de descomposición de N2O, que se define como la relación de las cantidades molares de N2O a la cantidad molar total de NOX; el resultado de esto es que el paso de descomposición de NOX puede ser operado bajo condiciones óptimas; el procedimiento puede ser operado en un aparato que comprende los siguientes elementos: A) un aparato (2) para ajustar el contenido de agua de la corriente de gas (1) que comprende NOX y N2O; B) un paso de descomposición de N2O (3) dispuesto corriente abajo del aparato (2) para reducir el contenido de N2O de la corriente de gas, que comprende un catalizador de zeolita cargado con hierro; C) un aparato de enfriamiento (4) dispuesto corriente abajo del paso de descomposición de N2O (3) para enfriar la corriente de gas (5) que sale del paso de descomposición de N2O; D) un paso de descomposición de NOX (6) dispuesto corriente abajo del aparato de enfriamiento (4) y que comprende un catalizador de SCR para reducir el contenido de NOX de la corriente de gas; y E) una línea de alimentación (7) para introducir el agente reductor para NOX en la corriente de gas (5) que sale del paso de descomposición de N2O, que está dispuesta entre la salida del paso de descomposición de N2O (3) y corriente arriba del catalizador del paso de descomposición de NOX (6).
