Abstract

La invención se relaciona con una membrana microporosa que comprende un portador de membrana poroso hecho de un primer material polimérico (A) y comprende un segundo material polimérico (B) íntimamente dividido a través del portador de membrana poroso, donde el portador de membrana poroso comprende una pluralidad de fibras, fibrilos, filamentos y/o lamelas poliméricos interconectados que tienen un espesor de menos de 1 µm, el portador de membrana poroso tiene una estructura porosa abierta interconectada formada por la pluralidad de fibras, fibrilos, filamentos y/o lamelas poliméricos interconectados y una porosidad de al menos 50%, y el material polimérico (B) comprende un polímero de policondensación termoplástico y está presente en una cantidad de máximo 30% en peso, con respecto al peso total de (A) y (B). La invención también se relaciona con un proceso para preparar tal membrana microporosa que comprende etapas donde (i) un portador de membrana porosa hecho de un primer material polimérico (A) se impregna con una solución polimérica que comprende un segundo material polimérico (B) en un sistema de solventes (X) y (ii) el portador de membrana impregnado resultante es detenido en un sistema no solvente (Y), precipitando por tanto al menos parte del segundo material polimérico (B).
