Abstract
La descripción proporciona composición o conjunto de composiciones y métodos para producir perfluoropolímeros o fluoropolímeros espumables celulares, espumados o soplados y otros termoplásticos, para crear productos incluyendo un cable de comunicaciones, separador conductor, soporte-separador conductor, enchaquetado, cinta, aislamiento de alambre y en algunos casos un tubo de conducto que contiene componentes individuales o configuraciones combinadas que exhiben mejoradas propiedades eléctricas de inflamabilidad y ópticas a menor costo. La composición de la invención es químicamente espumable dando por resultado estructuras aislantes espumadas homogéneas que son excelentes en forma simultánea para proporcionar excelentes propiedades aislantes en alambres de metal o fibras ópticas, sobresalientes parámetros de procesamiento para fabricación de cable a alta velocidad y capacidades nominales o regímenes de servicio de alto desempeño en inflamabilidad, generación de humo y carga de combustible. Específicamente, la composición de aislamiento celular de perfluoropolímero espumable comprende mezclar o emplear en forma individual un perfluoropolímero selecto en combinación con carbonato de magnesio, carbonato de calcio y cera AClyn(r), una segunda composición que comprende la primer composición y uno adicional seleccionado de uno o más perfluoropolímeros; una tercer composición que comprende talco y el uno o más perfluoropolímeros seleccionados, una cuarta composición que comprende: la segunda composición, la tercer composición y el uno o más perfluoropolímeros selectos. Un gránulo o producto formulado sencillo que resulta en espumas celulares que se obtienen a partir del procesamiento de fusión de los gránulos, también se ha logrado al proporcionar la combinación de fusión de solo talco y un perfluoropolímero. La presente invención incluye una composición de perfluoropolímero espumable que comprende cuando menos un per(halo)fluoropolímero procesable en fusión; y un agente de soplado que comprende una cantidad efectiva de carbonato de magnesio; y un agente nucleante activo seleccionado de entre: cuando menos un carbonato de metal diferente de carbonato de magnesio, que tiene una temperatura de descomposición que excede 350ºC, seleccionado generalmente entre CaCO3, BaCO3, ZnCO3 y PbCO3; y talco y sus mezclas.
